View Full Version : Do you believe Wade is a little jealous of LeBron?

We all know Wade has been the heart and soul of the Miami Heat throughout his career.

Since LeBron joined the party, Wade's place on the team has changed. He is no longer the "man" and has since taken his place as the sidekick to James.

James is the talk of the league. He is considered to be the best player in the world and has since won a MVP and Finals MVP since joining Miami.

It's tough seeing him struggle and I've seen posters saying it is not physical but "mental". Is that because he is not comfortable with his place on the team and being 2nd fiddle to James?

He had to see this coming tho. LeBron is one of the greatest NBA players all-time, wade isn't even a top 5 all-time shooting guard. Maybe not even in the top 10.

LeBron is always going to draw all the attention, no matter what team he plays on. Not sure why there were people that thought it would be any different with him going to Miami. Wade knew what he was in for when he recruited LeBron to the Heat. At the end of the day, I think Wade just wants to win championships. Even he would tell you he isn't the same guy he was in 06 or even 2011.

It wasn't. I just personally think Wade is underrated. I got him retiring top 3 behind MJ and Kobe.

In his prime sure, but all-time? Nope. Let me ask you a question, how many seasons would you say Wade was a top 3 player in the league?

Maybe so but not being as good as LeBron James isn't really a knock on Wade.

kids. No respect for the players of the past.

Wade is a tracy mcgrady, who just happens to win a 2006 finals because of Stern. He won another playing with 2 other stars.

If anything, iverson, miller, west >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> wade

I will agree with you on longevity. You have a point there. Those guys were consistent as hell for years. As for you question, its hard to say. I always have trouble ranking Wade. He has a case for 06 depending on how you rank Kobe, Lebron, Timmy, and Dirk. He was hurt in 07 and 08 a lot. Definitely top 3 in 09 and probably 2010. Debateable for 2011, but I would put Durant, Lebron, and definitely Dirk over him for sure. Coin flip really with Kobe for who was betterr imo that season.

I really don't think so. Even when Wade had the Heat all to himself its not like he was getting a ton of attention. Unless its college football, Florida sports stars don't get too much publicity it seems.

Pretty much this. I always enjoy it when people overrate the shit out of Reggie, it reveals their ignorance.

No educated fan is taking Reggie over Wade.

Kobe did best thing for himself. He got rid of Shaq, he proved himself to everyone with godly numbers and then he got another HOF caliber big man who will be always underrated in wins and scapegoat in losses. He won championships, FMVPs etc. He is mamba on court off court.

Wade did worst for himself. He got forgetten after championship and he teamed up with probably only player (except Kobe) that his fame overpowers him easily. It wouldn't surprise me if Wade retires or Heat trade his ass for a younger player in next two years.:lol

They teamed up for easy way but actually it's not that important now. Golden years of Lakers,Celtics,Spurs has gone by the time they teamed up. Lebron could reach title by getting just one good quality scorer. Wade could do same with one good quality big man. Now it seems they are too stacked in an ugly way and if they lose again they'll be underachievers, overrated players once again.

The funniest part about Wade's unimpressive play is that a common view held during the outrage over LeBron decision to team up with him back in 2010 was that LeBron was joining "Wade's team" in "Wade's city" and would never win the affection of Miami fans the way Wade did.

3 years later, LeBron is king of the league and king of Miami. Wade isn't even viewed as an elite superstar anymore. :oldlol:

Wade is easily a Top 4 SG of all-time and a Top 6 guard of all-time. Easily.

and i respect your opinion. i won't leave you negative rep anonymously like a lot of cowards do on here. but imo, wade will be a forgotten name in 15-20 years. when i rank somebody all-time, i take longevity into major consideration. and wade just has not dominated the league the way a top 3 position player all-time should. yeah he had a season or two where he was absolutely the best shooting guard in the nba. but then you wanna lump him together with kobe and mj? 2 players that dominated the entire nba for about 80% of their entire careers? sorry, i just can't do it. there is just no way i am ranking wade above iverson and jerry west.

And, that's a slight... how?

Tracy McGrady was a phenomenal rare talent, in case you weren't aware. Wade was able to capitalize by being in better team situations, but then again every player has some degree of luck over another when it comes to their rosters.

It's a slight because Tracy McGrady's career was destroyed and he was decimated by injuries. This all occurred at a relatively young age where he should have still been making all star teams and appearing on all nba teams. This is why it's a slight... don't play dumb.

I really wanted to see what his answer would be because of his avy.

I'm sure he takes a more unfair and imbalanced approach than you just have. So far, Wade's career hasn't had the extreme abrupt drop-off the way T-Mac's did, so he's obviously basing it on other things.

Wade is jealous of his haters on every site. He cries himself to sleep every night thinking what good is 2 rings and all the fame and all the money and all the women and that he's seen as a king in Miami when he could be hating on people he doesnt know on a message board. I bet he would trade places with you in a second, guys.

Can we please retire the term "haters"? It's incredibly juvenile and a complete cop out. If anything it's contributing in making people sound even dumber.
