View Full Version : Is James Harden now the best SG in the league?

Serious question here folks. Wade has regressed big time this season so the spot for the best SG in the league is now wide open. Is it James's crown as the best SG in the league? If not, who is it?

No he's not, RG. Kobe is, and I'll still give Wade number two. We'll see if Wade gets it together or not. Harden is top 3 for sure, though

3rd? Wade is playing like hot garbage and is nothing without his athleticism, not to mention he is injured all the time.

Even if Wade is better, he would be #2.

Harden's second best if you were judging by this season so far.

BTW if we're just judging by this season, is O.J. Mayo third?

Depends if you judge it on form weeks into the season or how good they truely are as players. Wade will pick it up over time...Harden has the chance to put up big stats now...so this is no surprise.

Kobe vs Harden Sunday night. should be good. Harden's never had to face Kobe an entire game head to head. will be interesting at the very least.

Wade is the only player I've seen so widely disrespected, despite having some all time great career averages and play.

Dude has a bad week or two, and he plummets in peoples rankings. Lebron or Kobe have a bad stretch, people wait it out, and still keep them in their place.

Weird to say the least. Will be waiting for all the threads where people apparently predicted Wade to get back to his old self, despite probably being the same people that doubted him now.

so far this year Wade has not played well. He just hasn't. In fact, for him, he's played awful. It doesn't mean he's a terrible player, just that to this point he has been well below expectations, while others, like Harden have been above. It's a long season. I've no doubt Wade will pick it up.

Has anyone actually watched Wade play this year? I find it hard to believe judging by some of the posts. As overrated as James Harden is even he's on pace to end up the better player than Wade. Wade is barely top 5 at the moment.

Harden is averaging clos to 27 points 5 bords 5 assists along with 1.6 steals on 44%fg and is a solid 83.5 ft shooter. The idiot who started this thread has an agenda. He is asian and is trying to garner hate for Harden because he is a lin fanboy. The idiot believes harden s the reason for lin's struggles. He also used to bash tmac as well to propup Yao. RG is a fruit loop with mentall issues.

Noone in there right mind thinks Harden is the best or even top 2 right now, but he is the 3rd best SG in th league.

The guy is saying "now that Wade", as if Kobe Bryant isn't around. So no, Wade is not the only one.

Harden was very good for 3 quarters but in the 4th the Lakers pretty much had a double team on him as soon s he recived the ball and a 3rd player was coming over to take awy whatever driving lane he had left. I've rarely seen a team throw that kind of a defensive coverage for a player since we had a prime Tmac.

The only player who was good at taking advantage of that was Parsons who was getting a ton of open looks becaue of that and to a certian extent or a lesser extent Marcus Morris.

I'll say Harden is in the top 4 or 5. I said that at the start of last season.

spiegel

James is the seond best and at worst the 3rd bst SG in the league. He hasnt even come close to reaching his prime either. This will be the first season he has been the man so he'll learn a ton of things this season which will help him down the line. For him this season is ll about learning how to play through the kind of defensive coverages he will get or the rest of his career.

Kobe

Harden
(and the rest can be argued)

This season is too young to overreact to the current level of play (good or bad).

Having said that...

Kobe
Wade
JJ
Manu
Monta
Harden

That's my top 6 without overreacting to this season (Wade, JJ, Manu, Harden).

By season's end, I'd be more willing to put Harden in the top 3, but I suspect that Kobe, Wade and JJ will all have pretty strong "top 3" arguments themselves.
