View Full Version : Kobe practices his handles....

There is a reason why he is this season's best player. Notice so far in the season he hasn't turned the ball over due to dribbling? A lot of the turnovers this season has been caused by the new offense.

These are some of the greatest of all time handles.....enjoy.

I love it. Its just like the real games. Kobe is dribbling the ball by himself, Dwight is shooting freethrows and Pau is just watching.

only a zealous hater can't admit that Kobe is on a different plane when it comes to work ethic and dedication to the game

17 years in the league and still arguably the best player, leading scorer, and we gonna act like there's not something special to the way kobe practices

17 years with 1MVP award. You want to argue that he's better than James or Durant? Because that's a short, easy argument.

Are you serious?:facepalm Using MVP's to judge players now??? What a joke. How much MVP's does Shaq have? Steve Nash has 2, what's his ranking on the GOAT list?

Of course at this moment in time Kobe's not better than Lebron or Durant. He's 34 and in his 17th season. What's crazy is that he's still one of the top players in the league.

The things you used to judge him.. seriously :facepalm

The way things have gone for Shaq and Nash is the exception, not the rule. Look at how many MVPs guys like MJ, Magic, Wilt, etc. have. Look at how many LeBron James has. Acting like the award that comes closest to anointing a best player in the league is irrelevant is stupid.

MVP is a subjective award, just like those all defensive teams that people here are always bitching about.

If it was completely legit, Kobe would definitely have more than 1.

No, but I will tell you that if Bryant was the player so many of you think he is he'd have gotten more than one. You guys harp on Nash's aberration seasons but ignore that MVP awards are part of the legacy of guys like MJ and Magic. The fact remains that James has gotten 3 MVPs, thrice as many as Bryant in half the time.

Why do Kobe stans even still make posts like this? Everyone knows Kobe isn't (and wasn't at any point in his career) in the same stratosphere as Jordan. There's a reason everyone has moved on to comparing Lebron to Jordan and not Kobe, because at this point it's established that Kobe will end his career in the bottom half of the top 10 players ever at best.

Kobe's a polarizing player, and the media(who votes on MVP) is just as susceptible to bias as anyone else. Shaq also has less MVP's than Nash. Is Nash better?

We've alread discussed this. Nash is an exception to the norm, and he only won two. There were plenty of other seasons for Bryant to capitalize on. The media holding a vast anti-Kobe conspiracy is a new point, I'll grant you. After we're done figuring out the Benghazi thing McCain and I will look into it.

........do you even know what polarizing means. Saying a guy is polarizing doesn't mean everything revolves around him. In this case it just affects his mvp votes. Steve Blake can be polarizing if there are large numbers of people who hate or love him.

Kobe isn't playing well because it's his 17th season and 34 years of age.

Kobe is the best player right now this season regardless of age and season.

How many players in their prime would die to have Kobe's stat line so far.

What else is new when you are the best player this season? Kobe's been compared to everyone and those he was compared to, have all declined. First it was Wade, then it was Lebron and now he's being compared to Melo.

Best players this season:

1. Kobe
2. Melo
3. Lebron

4. Durant

Under .500 record despite having the most stacked team in the league. :applause: Lebron, Melo, and Durant have all been playing equally as good if not better and their teams all have better records despite having less talent.(with Wade's injury otherwise Miami is on par w/talent)

Didn't know mods could say stupid shit like this.

Well done, sir.

What is he saying that's not true? Kobe does have a great work ethic but to insinuate that there are other guys in the league who don't have a similar one is stupid and false.

He does only have 1 MVP award.

Lebron James and Kevin Durant are both better players RIGHT NOW. Only a moron thinks otherwise.

Of course. And Lebron James isn't polarizing?

Yet he is able to win. You know why? Because hes actually as good as hyped up.

You can go through Kobe's whole career, and you realize, the MVP he got, is the only one he actually deserves. So I don't know why there is all this complaining and new excuses coming up. One guy used "MVP is subjective"...
Really? That's what they're coming up with these days? Any award given in the NBA is subjective, doesn't take away the fact that the regular season MVP, just like in 99% of sports is the most prestigious award you can receive.

ripthekik
11-17-2012, 09:28 PM
Well, Hakeem, Kobe, and Shaq are all sitting comfortably in the top ten with just one MVP each, meanwhile some guys with 2 or 3 are still on the outside looking in, so that tells you about the credibility of the MVP award.

KG215
11-18-2012, 01:53 AM
DAMMIT Kobe!!! Why did you have to be so polarizing?

Just think guys, if Kobe wasn't so polarizing he'd have....ALL the MVP awards since 2005ish. Instead, he's left with a single and disputable MVP award.

And since there's so many of you Kobe fanboys...

Do you guys get together like once or twice a week to discuss the stupid shit you're going to come up with in order to prop your boy up?

 Good one.

People on ISH are always bitching about Kobe's all defensive team awards, but how are those awards any less credible than the MVP? It's voted on by the media, isn't it?

MVP just doesn't mean that much to me. It doesn't determine who the best player in the league is. If it did, Kobe and Shaq would have more than 1 each. Sure, they get it right sometimes, but they've also gotten wrong more than a few times.

Its debatable at times, but in Kobe's case, he doesn't have a debatable case outside of the one he actually won.

The criteria has always stayed the same for MVP. You not valuing MVP's much? Sure. Its because you're a Kobe fan. MVP tells you a guy was dominating in his era. You're lying anyway. Like any fan, everyone comes in with champion and MVP predictions. You know why? Its what the fans care about. People don't come in with DPOY predictions, or Finals MVP, its the MVP everyone cares about. It places you above your peers. You were the most impactful and valuable piece in the NBA over a whole season.

Yep, and Kobe being so polarizing has essentially turned into a big media conspiracy, and it's the only explanation as to why he only has one MVP.

If people can't see that, then they're f***ing stupid.
