So many Kobe fans on ISH. Not only does he get a couple of triple-double alert threads, he gets another couple of threads for the actual triple-double.
With that said, props. I didn't get to watch the game, but congrats. He's definitely playing at an unbelievable level right now for a 34 year old in his 17th season.

He is the most skilled player in the league. at 34 years old dropping triple doubles like he was 10 years younger is undeniably special , even for people that dislike the man. (I think he's a douche, but I love watching him play), give him props

Already 4 threads on Kobe, though 1 only on the TD :lol
Could be worse, but it is pretty incredible. Id like to say he is gonna cool off as we get later in the season, but his form has been insane. Im not a fan of the guy, but thats primarily because of his stans on this board, but I dont hate him too. Great acheivement
The funny thing is Noah was 2 assists of a TD too. 3 in one night would have been insane :oldlol:

The way he's playing right now, how can anyone say he doesnt have an argument for best player in the league (at the moment). Been watching every Lakers game and his flow / patience is such a beauty to watch.
On another note, how could the Rockets allow Lin to guard him for that many possessions? It was seriously like watching a pick-up game, men vs boy.

He is plain and simple. Just imagine if the Lakers hadn't started the season with Mike Brown as coach they would be challenging for the best record in the league and Kobe would be getting serious MVP consideration.

Well, it is what it is. There's an absurd number of Kobe stans (some who are actually pretty cool) and they do essentially run ISH. Basically anytime Kobe does something not even all that noteworthy there's a thread on it. There was a new thread popping up almost every day during the Olympics every time someone came across a picture of Kobe siting in the stands.

Pretty sure no one is saying that. The level-headed objective Thunder/Durant fans on here admit LeBron is the best player in the game, and Kobe is (at the very least) playing as well as Durant and is a top 2-3 player right now.
Just ignore 28renroy. He's just as bad and annoying as guys like kennethgriffin, AlphaWolf, 9erempire pauk, etc.

Not being biased at all. Lebron, Durant and Kobe would all be in the conversation. They're all playing amazing in their own way. :confusedshrug: think about it if it wasn't for the moron of a head coach the Lakers could legitimately have the best record in a very tough western conference. If that doesn't warrant some serious best player in the league conversation I don't know what does.

We dont know that because it didnt happen. The Clippers could have had the best record if they didnt lose 2 easy games at home for instance. Fans are always quick to blame the coach when the wins dont come too. (I personally see Kobe as 2nd best player in league atm, but Lebron is clear cut above the rest.)

I don't know? No one pays it any serious attention this early in the season, though. If you're hanging your hat on someone being at or near the top of an MVP tracker 10-12 games and 2 weeks into the season, that's cool. I'll start paying closer attention to that type of stuff in February and March.

You can't be the best player in the league when your team doesn't even have a winning record despite having the most stacked team in the NBA. Especially when players like Lebron and Durant are playing on par and have their teams much higher in the standings despite not having the same amount of talent.

What Kobe is doing this year is amazing at 34.. Proud of my favourite player big time this season.
He has now all of the sudden excellent shot selection...
He is unselfish & efficient..
He is shooting like he never has before...
He isnt "chucking/shotjacking" anymore...
He is a very mature guy nowadays...
If this continues.... i just might end up saying that after 17 years of watching him, i finally might like Kobe more than i ever liked him before...

Kobe has been a joy to watch this season. He's not taking nearly as many stupid, contested jump shots and he's doing a much better job at facilitating for his teammates. Kobe has always been one to adjust his game due to injuries or a decline in athleticism, but this is the first year in about three where I think he's really accepted that his hops and quickness just aren't what they used to be. He's doing a wonderful job picking his spots and making the right basketball play. I hope he keeps it up.
