Haven't seen this posted yet, but here's an interview floating around with Gortat and a polish sports writer were he's quoted saying he is upset with his role on the offence now and he isn't even being considered as an option for Gentry. Rumours he is going to be traded with Orlando, Dallas, Bulls and Celtics interested in him.

Interesting if that's true
Gortat is a decent center and in a league that severely lacks center and if I was the Suns i would try to trade him, regardless of his happiness
Gortat is turning 30 next year and this summer he will demand a huge salary which he will get, for comparison Asik got 25million over 3years and he played behind Noah in Chicago
If they can get some young talent and picks in return for him, i'd do it and go into full rebuilding mode

We have three first round picks and two rookies with good potential in Lamb and PJ3. We're obviously in "win now" mode. As much as I like the potential of Lamb and Jones, they aren't going to progress and develop in OKC as quickly as they would somewhere else. I'd like to hold on to Lamb if at all possible, but if it meant getting Gortat in return, I could living with losing him in the deal.

I do, but that trade seems a bit lopsided for OKC. We get Gortat that can give you 15/10 every now and then along with Dudley who can be a good backup for Durant. Forgot he was PHX starting SG this season. Perkins is pretty much useless so might as well throw in some young assets that can help them rebuild.

If he really is unhappy, I feel bad for Dragic and Scola. Dragic is about to entire his prime on a suns team with zero building blocks(Kendall Marshall I guess) for the future. Scola has about 2 or 3 years left before he breaks down completely, hopefully he gets traded to the Spurs.

I can't believe OKC fans are so willing to just throw up PJ3, Lamb and that Toronto lottery pick for the likes of Martin Gortat.
He doesn't make them much better over Perkins and they lose both of the young, cheap assets they got from the Harden trade.

Davis + Vucevic for Gortat. Get it done :P
If I was OKC (who aren't even rumoured to have been phoning for Gortat) I wouldn't give up a first rounder and pj3. One of the other. Gortat's a good player and is under rated but he's close to 30. Guess it depends what else they part with, if they can swing perk, pj and picks then they'd have a good chance to win it all. Miami struggle with size.

We are a Center of Gortat's caliber away from being a Championship team, if his addition means a ring or two I say let's get him for sure.

A line up of:
Westbook / Maynor
Thabo / K.Martin
Durant / Dudley
Ibaka / Collison
Gortat / Thabeet
Would be my favourite to win it all this year.
Perkins + Lamb + TOs pick should get it done. You'd have a stacked team have still have PJ3 and DALs 1st as young prospects.
Gortat averages 3 blocks and Ibaka 3.5. Add Durant (1.4) and you have a front court that averages almost 8 blocks. No one will be able to score at the rim.
Dudley is a top notch backup forward as well. He's had success at PF in a small lineup in streches as well.
This trade needs to happen.

Doubt Phoenix pulls the trigger.
It would be questionable. They have no prospects at SG and Toronto's pick is a guaranteed lottery pick (as per the protections). In order to justify taking an overpaid Perkins until 2015 they could always throw in PJ3 and/or the Dallas 1st.
A Lamb, PJ3, lottery pick, 20ish pick and Perkins bad contract seems like overpaying, but if that's what it takes to grab Gortat (and Dudley to make it work) it might be worth it given that they don't have time to develop young guys.

Don't underrate Gortat. He is pretty good. Better offensively than Perkins and can get more rebounds. He is one of the good few centers in the league. He would help the Thunder a lot more than Perkins imo.
Buuut, I don't know how he would do against Howard. I don't know if Perkins do a better job guarding Howard than Gortat.

The source on who is interested is the same sports writer that interviewed Gortat. Likely Gortat himself told them who he is "interested". Their probably the locations he hopes to go to.
What about some sort of 3 way if phnx need a 2 guard. Orlando send redick, vucevic (he's getting a few double doubles this season) and pieces, OKC get Gortat, Orlando get picks\lamb\pj3 for their rebuild. Maybe perkins, lamb, pj3, first rounder to orlando, okc get gortat and harrington, phnx get redick and vucevic. Someone can have mcroberts too.

A bonus would be that Gortat went against Dwight in practice for years. He knows more about defending Dwight than most people.
Gortat/Ibaka would be a great counter to Dwight/Gasol.
And if they do make it past the Lakers and meet Miami in the finals again:
Gortat/Ibaka vs. Bosh/Battier is a huge advantage for OKC.

My Suns will suck more than now without Gortat. but Suns ain't going to go far anywhere with this current team, not to mention they got little to no trading assets. Trading Gortat for some pieces to build into the future seems like a right way to go. I always been high on Lamb and the Suns can develop him while filling the void at the 2 guard slot. 2 future 1 rounders to help rebuild. Perks is meh but for all the other reasons i say if this is an offered deal for PHX, we take it.

They could trade him for picks and start full rebuilding mode like someone else said. They aren't going anywhere with this team. They need to make some moves and/or plan for the future. Gortat is very valuable since he is good center, which is rare.

Maybe Gortat would be "getting more shots" on offense if he could actually learn to stop being a finesse b*tch on offense and actually SLAM THE DAMN BALL IN THE HOOP. I'm tired of watching him get the ball wide open under the rim and instead of jamming it home easily he does these pitiful little finger rolls and layups off the backboard that rim-out right into a defender's hands all the damn time.
What the f*ck do they call him the "Polish Hammer"" for if it he refuses to even ATTEMPT to hammer the damn ball down? There's a reason Gortat is being told to focus soley on defense and rebounding. It's because that's what he's noteworthy at. His finesse offensive game is pretty shallow, even if quite effective (especially against short teams). He's useless on offense against tall teams that have solid defense.
If this is really how he feels, ship his ass out. Don't need whiny b*tch attitudes bringing the mood of the franchise down even more when we're already struggling to win games. Sign some actual CLASSY players who can just show up to work, get it done with a smile on their face, and not realize that this is their JOB and this is what they signed up for being in the NBA. Gotta have to grow up and learn to be businessmen about it on AND offside the court and not make public drama like this(if it's even true)

Bradley, Sullinger/Melo, Bass and a protected 1st
for
Gortat, Dudley
Celtics, with Barbosa and Terry, are not missing Bradley too terribly (though a future with Bradley/Rondo at the guard spots is pretty sick), and Gortat and Dudley could really put this team up closer to Miami. Good trade to go all-out to win this year, and Phoenix gets a pick, a project big, and a potential start 2guard.
