LAUGHABLE about how everyone made such a big deal about losing lin. Felton is an upgrade over lin and plays GREAT pick and roll basketball with tyson chandler and 2 years ago he played great pick and roll basketball with amare.

If the knicks can get Amare to buy into the team concept and defense, SKY IS THE LIMIT, not to mention shumpert coming back as a lock down defender.

*best thing that ever happened to this team was getting felton and letting lin go.

i had that inital shock of letting lin go, but at the same time i thought bringing in felton wasnt that bad of a move even with the down year last year.

I never really understood all the hate Felton got. Sure he has a history of being a fatass, but he's been a VERY solid pg for his entire career. Good numbers, well rounded stats as well. I always thought he had a lot of potential (to be a top 10 pg) back when his career started with the Bobcats. This guy has definitly been underpaid his whole career, underrated scoring ability too. I bet the Lakers would kill to have Felton with his contract right now; a lot of teams would. Definitly a great pickup by management

Props to Felton, he stepped up big time tonight in Melo's absence.

This is the best Felton has looked since his 10-11 run with the Knicks. It's going to be interesting to see how he fits in with the Knicks once Stoudamire comes back.

Felton was never a bad player in his career except maybe last season with the Trail Blazers.

Dude's a baller.

You're the worst poster. What a stupid statement. The Knicks beat the Heat last night, i guess we have better players than Lebron.

I felt the same... until he played for my Blazers last season. Fat, out of shape, horrible decisionmaking, no leadership at all. We did not run a PG friendly system, but he himself admitted he was out of shape and didn't work hard. He's in shape now and has been great so far. Total turn around from last season, but before last season he was solid as well.

Thing is, Felton played in Charlotte when they were horrible and flew under the radar because of it. He blew up when he left for NY, but a part of it was just that he was in the spotlight more than before. He put up great stats and people said it was D'Antoni's PG friendly system that made him good, but it wasn't just that - Felton was balling. He showed some great traits, that he already showed in Charlotte, but people just weren't watching back then. He can shoot, great at finding the open man, can run the floor etc.. His stock took a plunge after last season with the Blazers and it's his own fault. He didn't fit in, but it seemed like he never tried and didn't work on his pysique either (man was fat). He sucked. Motivation can go a long way though. Look at him now. Really sucks to admit this as a Blazers fan, but Felton looks great.

In-shape Felton, and it's not even arguable from a basketball skill, talent, contract and who will help your team more standpoint.

But lets not forget that Felton has 7 years of NBA under his belt and Lin is basically still in his rookie year as far as playing time is concerned.

Huh? Doesn't answer my question, but let me check.

LOL, Lin owned Felton, leading his team to a blowout against the pathetic New York Knicks.

Yeah, you think this fat **** is better than ****ing Linsanity? GTFO.

Beside the fact that Lin was a non-factor in that game and that the Rockets won due Harden putting up 33 points and 9 assists and Parsons who scored 31 points on 13-17 shooting.

Lin was pretty mediocre in the game, he had more turnovers than assists in the game..

Felton is playing better. He's also playing in games that matter. In lower pressure games, Lin is doing every single thing worse. And to prove that he's not, you take a sample of ONE game.

If you're not trolling you're just stupid.

That game pretty much killed interest in Lin in NY. Prior to the game it was LIN VS. THE KNICKS. AFter the game when the Knicks got killed but Lin did nothing and everyone saw this it was a revelation, there is no Linsanity vs. the Knicks because there is no Linsanity.

There are people who still swear the Knicks made a mistake. Ian O Connor for one. It's mind boggling to me. Plus the fact is, and as much as this says something negative about the Knicks as much as Lin, they apparently didn't like playing with him that much because the chemistry is so much better with him gone.

As much as Felton shoots, he doesn't dominate the ball. Lin dominated the ball. So it's easier to play with Felton. With Lin, you need to play off him. Felton plays off his teammates.

Don't know about that, I watched the Linsanity-run the players looked like they really enjoyed playing with him.

And last but not least, I don't get why you Knick fans write so many bad things about the guy. Lin was the only reason why the Knicks were relevant last year and he played really for the Knicks..

I'd get it if you'd be a Rocket fan like me, the Rockets signed him to a big contract and Lin has been awful most of the season so I'd get it if Rockets fan would be hating on him, but Knick fans? Seriously?

Initially, the enthusiasm for Lin's 'coming out party' was high in the Knicks locker room, but that feeling was starting to fade even before he got injured.

You do realize that the team played very well down the stretch, and got a playoff spot without Lin, right?

He wasn't the "only" reason for anything. He was a temporary spark, but that's all.

He made them relevant among the fans and the Linsanity run was crucial for their season.

And no offense, dude, but you seem to dislike Lin alot. First I thought you were a fellow Rocket fan but then I understood that you're a Knick fan, what's your reason to post negative stuff about him? He was great for NY and him sucking for the Rockets should be something you as a fan should be glad over because it means that he was only a fluke.

No need to hate on a guy who made like 800 000 bucks while playing damn fine basketball for NY.

to lin's defence, the spacing on the knicks is much better now. maybe a training camp will do that, maybe it's melo and jr growing up, maybe it's jason kidd and sheed providing wisdom...

anyway, last year the knicks did not play like this but it's hard to believe it's all on lin or felton.

Felton is better than Lin this year. It's a fact. How is that salty? One guy is playing great, one is playing terrible.

If i told you Brewer is better than Iguodala and you laughed at me (because it's stupid) does that mean you are salty we took Melo or just right about something?

I guess because i've seen how bad he's playing, the fact i'm being told he's better than Felton irks me. What does that say about Felton? He's not better. If it was close i wouldn't argue but he's not. Is he? Is it closer than i think?

I don't think that Lin is better at all and Lin has been sucking for the Rockets this season and for a Rocket fan it's very frustrating to see him when the Rockets had two great point guards last season.

Just don't get why you get so butthurt whenever he's mentioned, every sane person knows that Felton is better and that Lin has been sucking this far. You're a Knick fan, he was great for the Knicks..

Let me correct you. I don't "hate" Lin, or anyone else. The posts regarding him reflect my analyses on his level of play. Simply that.

Since he hasn't been playing well, those comments have been mostly negative -- like the majority of yours. I have given him credit for the good things he's done.

Linsanity provided a spark to the Knicks season, but all good things must come to an end. I was one of the first to advocate moving on from Lin when the contract situation came up. As it turns out, for a variety of reasons, I was right.

I'm not "butthurt", i'm honest. Every time someone says "the knicks sucks" i say we don't, and when our fans say we are clearly the best team in the league, i say "no". When i say something true and people argue, i argue back.

I'm not going to have impassioned arguments about Durant, etc. because i don't watch these people play the same way i watch the Knicks, Nets, and players who were on our team. It's like the D'Antoni thing, we all know he's going to bomb, but if a Knick fan says it he's butthurt, if Millwad says it he's giving an opinion.

I saw more of Lin good and bad than 97% of the people on this board who are trying to tell me what he is or is not. It irks me. :confusedshrug: What can you do...
