I prefer his jumper over Allen's. The ball gets more more arc and backspin, plus the motion from the gather to release is less of a"robotic" move. I understand many will say Ray, but Melo is my winner. :bowdown:

Melo has a good jumper but poor form and its something u cant emulate. But the best jump shot forms belong to reddick and nash hands down. Stephen curry got a pretty good one also

Stephen Curry's is the best I've seen.

Kobe hangs in the air too much. Same with Tmac.

It's cool looking mainly because it's a difficult shot and he is capable of creating so many shots with it, but it's also why he's so streaky at times.

If he worked on a quicker release like Curry's, he would have a much more consistent jumper, especially from 3, but he also wouldn't be able to create as much shots as he does.

Classically beautiful, but I like the extra cool flair that TMac adds by kicking that front leg out as he often does... even when not fading away.

I said its not the MOST technically sound. I'd say Nash and Curry are the standard in that aspect. However, Melo's jumpshot is very pleasing to the eye IMO.

Melo's jumpshot is beautiful, I dont get what you guys are saying that its not technically sound. The only criticism I have is that he doesn't hold his follow through, but everything else from the stance, locked elbows, good elevation, quick release and purely using the left hand as a guide hand.. it is pretty much textbook.

But in terms of most beautiful shot in the game, I'd give it to curry :D

Nash may shoot a better clip but his shot starts quite low. The only thing you can complain about in Melo's shot is the width of his feet, but that's simply preference.

Ray Allen can get all the praise he wants for being the best shooter of all time, but his form isn't something to write home about. His elbow is slightly out, his arc isn't as good as Melo's, etc. If anything, Melo's shot mechanics are better than Ray's in terms of form you're strictly taught as a kid.

Melo's quick and balanced form is nice from midrange. When he's on, he takes that to his 3pt shot, but sometimes his 3pt shooting form is inconsistent and can get ugly. With his midrange game though, his form is beautiful. His quick pullup is great, because he needs very little space to get it off.

But for me. Dirk and Nash have the best looking jumpers. Mostly Dirk. It's a perfect rainbow everytime. Never see that long drive ball from him.
