Video is moving. In a short period of time you feel a small portion of their heavy hearts.

That's touching. I hope McHale take that team into the playoffs next season.

very surprised mchale is coaching this year. Figured something like that would have made him take a leave of absence for a year.

Probably helping to take his mind off it. Him and his wife could have own a little earlier as well, so it didn't strike them as hard. And I'm sure his daughter would've wanted him to keep coaching. Nonetheless a tragic and just heart-wrenching event. Too many of them these days. :(

This tragedy is very sad and very moving.
I am torn however. While I feel for kevin mchale and his family, my respect for him on a professional level has declined sharply. His inability to mesh the talents of his potentially outstanding starting backcourt is a major disappointment.
I am also disgusted by his willingness to harbor that snake Sampson. That guy just makes my skin crawl.
I just don't see the houston backcourt situation ending well for the rockets. The coaching staff has alienated a lot of key players in a very short period of time with their incompetence and inflexibility.

what did kg say!!
Probably something like, "I'm so sorry for your loss man she's somewhere else now and you did all you could do. You've been like a father to me if that's any consolation." I dont know, but I'm sure the gist was in there.

I know KG gets some bad rep because he "acts" tough towards smaller players, but he's old school and once he retires I will miss that. He's in the 2010s and he plays like he's in the 80s/90s with his mentality and I love it. He's a last of a dying breed and I think a large pat of that is how McHale and the Timberwolves molded him into that with McHale being old school as well.
When Garnett announced he wasn't retiring last year I was very happy because I feel he still has enough in the tank to be very competitive.

Well said, KG is just intense. He will never be the guy that half steps anything or does something lightly. If he's aboard you just have to accept that what comes will be loaded.

Hey Met, who in your life have you seen that was intense and you thought they were acting? The two don't go together. KG doesn't discriminate on who he goes after either (Villenueva, Amare, Frye and Pachulia are very close in size while Bonner, Lebron, Duncan, DH and McDyess definitely look bigger, Noah and Oneal have also talked about him being too aggressive). But people are going to see what they want to see but a moment of truth is worth more than our own perceptions. Going to a Celtic game for the first time is one of the most enlightening experiences in watching a live game. KG is talking all the time... and you will see just how much he knows about the game and human psychology.

This. He should've just stayed away. I am not sure if the daily grind and pressure are going to help him any.

Fixed. :)
KG's tweet about that day(Friday) was very heartwarming. The CT school shooting and then playing McHale, who recently lost his daughter, later that night.
