If he stayed healthy and had a three ball. He was a freak of nature athletically. Would love to still see him around.

He didn't have a three ball, had no bball IQ and wasn't healthy. It would have looked like this. A way too skinny guy who would have some cool dunk every now and then and get lucky and score a little every now and then in a game. Other than that you'll just have some clown who can't shoot and teases you with "potential" for his whole career.

Exactly why I said "IF HE DID"

I was infuriated when the Cavs traded him away for Jeff McGinnis

If Darius Miles had a three ball like Novak, he woulda been filthy.

Clearly never watched Darius Miles.

Regarding athletism? yes...
No, his athleticism wasn't like LeBron's at all.

The quickness, speed, size, strength, dexterity, body control wasn't even close to LeBron's level. Stop.

Darius Miles didn't have a lot of basketball skill, period. He was all hype, height, length, wire like frame and full of "potential"

He was more like a really poor man's Anthony Davis. A Nerlen Noel type.

To many if's for my taste had he stayed healthy he would have been a high energy role player with good finishing on the break, just like he was before he got injured, this whole 3point shot thing im not buying.

Jeff Green. Similar builds, Green has three range and neither has the takeover mentality to be the franchise player.

LOL? The second guy is not me. Immortal24 lives in like Canada. How would we have the same IP address?

And no, I don't bandwagon every player. What players am I bandwagoning? And do explain to me the relevance with my IP address has relevancy to a ridiculous claim that Darius Miles was a "poor man's LeBron"?

I made three screen names when I started on ISH, settled on one for years until I lost the password. Why do you care what username I'm ultimately still deciding on? I've been posting on these boards for a long time.

His skills, production wasn't even comparable. Even in a "poor man" capacity. Not remotely similar.

Real talk, get back on topic you fugazy Sherlock Holmes.

again when i said "Poors man Lebron", i wasn't referring to production, i referred to athletism.
I get it. I don't even see the similarities in athleticism to be honest.

He was much more like a poor man's Anthony Davis.

I think Miles would have had a similar career as Maggette if he stayed healthy. Really athletic, but horrible jumper and really bad basketball career. I gotta say, D Miles in 01-02 was extremely fun to watch and made me a part of the Clippers fanbase.

I don't think there is an NBA comparison really. He was a 6'9 SF who could outrun and outjump almost all players in the NBA. I would think something like a Odom/KG type mix but his ballhandling, speed and athleticism was superior to both. He had absolutely no shot though. Pretty much a slashing scorer with the ballhandling, passing of an Odom/KG type forward.

Huh? Dude was a pretty talented defender who would have likely become a very good one. He was a one man fastbreak who actually was a great ballhandler for his size.

What Darius Miles did you watch?

Maybe I should direct that question to you guys :confusedshrug: . You're arguing with a CLIPPERS fan who just so happens to be talking about his favorite player at the time and watched his entire career from the time he was drafted. Darius Miles had an incredible skill set and versatility. Problem is he had a brain the size of a walnut, a poor work ethic, off the court issues and what was thought to be a career ending injury.

I saw those. You did a great job as always. Set these guys straight who said he was nothing but an athlete. Dude's ability to lead a break with his ballhandling and to have the court vision to find players was great for a raw, 6'9 SF.

He wasn't polished, but he definitely had skills. Had he put in work to refine those skills he would've been incredible.

For sure. I'm simply talking about ability and skillset. He was raw and relied heavily on his athleticism but anybody that purely defines him as athletic clearly didn't watch him. Dude would grab rebounds, cross somebody over and outrun everybody down the court before firing off a no look pass to a teammate for an assist.
