Dude has the best offensive arsenal out of any point guard in the league. Pull up from ANYWHERE, can finish at the rim with the best of them, three point range, and his handles are retarded. Sky is the limit.

Didn't see a lot of bullshit drives, which is Irving's speciality.

Irving finishes better than anyone not named LeBron while driving.

By far the most entertaining player I've watched since the likes of:

CP3: 2008, 2009
Kobe: 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008
Wade: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010
Bron: 2008, 2009, 2010
Rose: 2010, 2011

I was so wrong about this kid. I thought he was going to be bust central and instead he's the second coming of Isaiah Thomas. :oldlol:

Chris Paul can't touch his scoring, but his vision is not at Paul's level. Both have masterful control of game tempo though.

Ya I switched it up to Isaiah, who I think his game resembles more.

Looks like "The Man with the Iron Mask" there but yeah the guy has the ball on a string, I wonder if he keeps playing at the level hes played all year if he can make the ASG. The teams record and his games missed will certainly be against him but hes def a top talent no doubt.

Zeke was Chris Paul, but A LOT quicker.

He's great, but he is no where near Lebron at driving.

Isiah was a better passer. But they are similar scorers.

They are almost identical, apart from the fact Zeke was WAY quicker.

I think CP3 is a better passer.

Kobe called him a Bad Boy last week in win over Lakers and said Kyrie finishes like Rod Strickland. For those of you old enough to remember Rod Strickland, it was a good comparison.

Rod Strickland isn't a good comparison.

Dude had NO JUMPER. Everyone always laughed how they would play off him so much fearing his drive game, beg him to shoot, yet he still always managed to get to the rim.

Kyrie Irving has a wet jumper.

I think CP3 is a slightly better passer, but I think it has more to do with their style of play. When you watch CP3 run an offense, he's looking to pass first, score second. When you watch Isiah run an offense, he's looking to score first, pass second. Often times you will end with the same results/stats, but the philosophies are contrasting.

I think Kyrie is definitely a score-first type player. That doesn't mean he isn't capable of involving his team as well though. There are actually quite a few score-first PG's in the NBA these days, just none of them do it as good as Isiah did.

Parker/CP3 will be pretty old in a few years. If Rose gets back healthy, him, Westbrook and Kyrie will have some awesome duels for the next 6-8 years

I would be too if I was on the Cleveland Cavaliers of 2012-2013.

Because he plays for a Cleveland Cavaliers team that has gone 19-63 and 21-45 in their last two years.

This is relevant...how? Tons of fantastic, studly young players start off on terrible teams because they were top 5 draft picks yet get infinite more buzz than Irving does.

Strickland was a monster at finishing. Not to confuse that with jump shooting which was not the point they were talking about.

you're right about that Rod jump shot tho. Dude could get real streaky at best.

His game is so smooth, and effortless. Mid-range game is off the charts. Cavs just need to build the right pieces around him.

Westbrook
Tony Parker (aka the best finishing PG)
Durant

Yeah, technically it was the right basketball play.

It's that when you're hot like he was and the momentum was completely going your way... You got to pull it.

Like in TMac's 13 in 33. After they stole the ball, he actually had Rafer wide open and flaring out. But you're the superstar and you're the reason why your team is even in the game. Win it or lose it on your trigger, imo.

Great performance, tho.

He is obviously a special talent. The few games he played at Duke you could see he had tons of potential.

Unfortunately he won't get the kind of attention he deserves until the Cavs become a playoff level team.

I really like the kid. I love his game, the ridiculous handles, the maturity and game control, the confidence, the finishing ability. He seems like a genuinely nice guy too.

Cavs fans are lucky to have him.

The most amazing thing about those clips is the control and ease with which he made those moves.

He slices through in the Olympic practice session like there was no pressure and was completely unfazed.

Like I stated in the earlier post, the Cavs are lucky to have him. He is truly special.

Carry with the spin move on Harden.

On a spin after the pivot the ball has to change hands or it is a carry.

That handle is so pretty. I hope Lebron goes back to Cleveland to become Kyrie's robin after his stint in Miami :P
