I haven't worn sneakers out since 10th grade. Whenever I'm out now, its leather dress shoes, or some nice casual shoes that go with jeans.

KD IIIs are awesome shoes for basketball, as well. But I never wear them outside, not in my country. It's considered bad taste to wear pretty much any sneakers to a meeting because that's what a certain lower class of people wear everyday, for any occassion. I think it's really American culture where you can tolerate wearing sneakers too much, or where you can wear high white socks to sandals in a hot summer day. Everywhere else that would be uncivilized... :confusedshrug:

Aren't those stacy adams the brand of shoes you can get at K-Mart? I bought two pairs of those suit shoes to try and save some money. Nobody can really tell the difference between a 25$ of dress shoes v. a 100$ pair unless they get up and look real close, which in reality will never happen. Bad idea though, those cheap ass shoes wear out ultra fast.

Really though, why not? I don't like hypebeasts either but if sneakers look good, they look good! I myself own a pair of Jordan III's and a pair of Reebok Pumps and I love wearing 'em. And I'm probably gonna buy a pair of adidas Superstars every damn year coz those are the most comfortable shoes ever and they go with damn near EVERYTHING.

At various times here, I've seen folks declare that Jordans should:

1) never be worn when going out
2) never be worn on a day to day basis
3) never be worn as basketball shoes

I suppose now it makes sense as to why so many people buy them and keep them on the shelf. They have no other option.
