Lebron is the closest thing we have seen to a perfect basketball player minus free throw shooting.

durant actually is the closest to perfect player. all he lacks is the strength. He has the height of howard and shooting or skillset of bird. He is one of the best athletes in this league And has the maturity or unselfishness of duncan thats why he doesnt care about stats or averaging triple doubles. hes already a successful player at a young age. He made oklahoma contenders in just his 3rd year while it took lebron 6 years to make cleveland contenders.

The least ingredients you need, the better.

One possibility would be Shaq with Russell's drive/defensive approach and Nash's free throw shooting. He wouldn't even need a jumpshot or handles - Shaq with free throws is already the ultimate offensive player.

Using current players the best you can do is probably combine either LeBron and Durant or Dirk's offense with Dwight's body and defense.

First of all durant doesnt get triple doubles not because he doesnt care about stats(let me give you a clue why he just doesnt have it in him)

Durant is far from being a perfect player. He just lacks on so many areas compared to other all around talents.
His handles isnt as good as it should be(though best at his height)
He is not physical enough. He gets too passive when defenders gets physical with him
He is an average playmaker
His court vision is lacking.
His defense against penetration is still average at best that OKC doesnt let durant defend great offensive players.

Making his team contender has nothing to do with year count.Durant first three years is actually inferior to lebrons this is why OKC managed to get so many high picks.Because durant wasnt as good as lebron still isnt.Lebron just missed the playoffs in his first two years so cavs didnt get high picks. Also it didnt help that frontoffice was horrible.

Another thing durants team wasnt a contender until last year.Lebron took his team to finals during his 4th season so that theory of yours is wrong too.

Actually nothing you said was right.

Wilt Chamberlain with Dirk FT shooting.

In his 1961-62 season (aged 25), he averaged 17FTA per game. Dirk at age 25 shot 87.7% to Wilt's 61.3% (10.4-17FT). 87.7% of 17 = 14.9 made FTs per game for an extra 4.9PPG. That means Wilt would've averaged 55.3PPG, 25.7RPG and 2.4APG on 50.6%.

Wilt's career averages of 30.1PPG, 22.9RPG and 4.4APG on 54 FG% and 51.1 FT% would become 34.3PPG if he had Dirk's career FT% of 87.8%. It boggles the mind.

Actually nothing you said was right.

First of all I dont think those cavs team that went to the finals are contenders while although durants team was just an 8 seed, they can still be considered contenders coz theres just little gap in the west at that time between the 1st and 8th seed. The west was so tight.

Durant can clearly average triple doubles just like jordan. He proved it at the start of the season. Maybe he lacks the handles yet thats why hes TO prone but he clearly has the vision. Its just that durant is already a mature player coming into the league so he learn to trust his teammates right away like duncan. Jordan had proven that averaging triple doubles aint going it done. Thats why he too was a loser despite having better stats early in his career. Its not until he trusted his teammates that he started winning. Pippen would be a scrub playing with lebron and same could happen to westbrook. In fact its already happening to wade. As I said, durant is the closest. I think hes the best ballhandler with that kind of height and we all know that defense is the last focus in players development so it will come
