Harden deserves to at least be somewhat in the MVP discussion. Not in the LeBron/Durant/Melo/CP3 group, but maybe in that second group or somewhere in the 6-10 range. He's playing amazing basketball right now, and the Rockets have won 7 of their last 8 and they're 15-12 on the season.
