Very impressive considering his age and milage. He is pretty much doing it at all time efficiency in his career too. I'm impressed by Kobe this year, but too bad the Lakers are still sucky, even though they have good offensive talent in the starting five.

You are overdoing it. Trolling is an artform you are ruining.

BTW, I 'm not sure as to what you'd like to achieve with all this. Do you happen to think you are very original? Funny? Both? You are mature because you don't believe all the false Kobe hype? Is that what you think? You are on a crusade and the world is going to be a better place after you will have convinced the population they were adoring a false god? Is this what you believe?

Because what I believe is this: You are not very successful in real life, so you spend half of your time trolling on the internet to feel less miserable. I'm not sure I'm right, but I'm sure that's what you look like.

Spoken like someone who didn't watch the game. Kobe takes 40 shots every game. The difference in that game was he got no FTs, side from a technical foul, despite being hammered on at least 5 occasions while driving to the rim.

good guess...he has the top 3 streaks:

65 (11/4/61-2/22/62)
31 (2/25/62-12/8/62)
25 (11/11/60-12/27/60)

the first two both took place all or in part during that weird 61-62 season

I don't think there were any but I can't confirm this offhand. Baylor/Robertson are decent possibilities; Kareem, Erving, Gervin and West are also remote possibilites, though I don't think there's anybody else (maybe Tiny Archibald?). I'll check them when I have a chance, unless someone finds out in the interim.

Kareem with 16 in 1971-72 season. And if for one game of 27 he could have it in 25.

Hey, haven't spoken with you in a while. I've been busy doing work for nbastats.net so I haven't focussed so much on the Russell-Wilt spreadsheet. I flew out to California to visit my campus a few weeks ago, but the SF Chronicle editions that would be useful were on reserve and had to be ordered.

I can verify the info in the Wilt spreadsheet is correct if you want to add it to the spreadsheet (as for the block/steal/turnover numbers, those were cited directly by newspapers; any estimates that seem inconsistent with actual game film are due to error by statkeepers/reporters (who would continue to report the same numbers after they became official, as they were already recorded).

BTW I do have a mechanism for accessing newspapers from Oakland, which might be helpful for the matchups during Wilt's years in SF. I'll PM or e-mail you the details later.
