Are they the team to beat in the east yet again?

It's known that the east is very average at this point so being the beast of the east isn't a special honor.

However, the Pistons have been at least the top two teams in the east for the past several years and probably will continue to do so assuming they keep their core players.

Another question for Detroit fans,

What do they plan on doing as far as trades? Do they plan to pick up some more bench help? Nazr on his way out? Whats the deal.

That is nice.

I made this thread 1 and 1/2 weeks ago with zero replies. In a time where threads about basically nothing get 100 replies, I was hoping for at least a few to give me some answers about the Pistons mindframe coming into this trade deadline.

Oh well.

Nazr is probably on his way out. We just don't have room in the rotation for him. Jaric for Nazr could be a deal. I don't see any huge moves coming though. I don't even know if we could get anyone that would see any legitamite playing time. Hunter is our backup point guard and Delfino should keep the backup SG/SF spot.

Bottom line is, unless we can get a great deal, we won't be moving anyone besides Nazr (possibly). Flip Murray is available but who wants him? It might be wise to wait until the offseason and try to move up in the draft by trading our two late 1st rounders packaged with Nazr or even Rasheed.

Detroit's clearly the best team in the East but that isn't saying that much is it? I still don't know if they're a top 5 team for absolute certain once everyone's healthy.

Yup, with the addition of Webber, they are poise to win it all this year, only Mavs and Phoenix has a chance.

just like they were poised to win it last year?

nobody is ever truly "poised" to win it.
