Each player has his own unique dunking style, with their own unique attributes. For example Lebron's dunks show ALOT of power, while Kobe's dunks show flare. What do you think are some of the attributes to Michael Jordan's dunks?

I personally think the biggest attribute of Jordan's dunks are speed, I don't think anyone can match the takeoff speed like Jordon. So jordon might not have the power that Lebron dunks have, nor the flare that Kobe's dunks have, but they epitomize speed and quickness.

I would actually call it explosiveness instead. Jordan just explodes and dunks with brutal grace and efficiency.

Bron reminds me of a freight train or a trailer.
Kobe of a Porsche
MJ of a stealth bomber

I think what makes MJ's dunk different is the 'distance' in which he takes off from. At first glance some of his dunks look like others, until you notice how and where he takes off from all in a flash.

Also most players have to gather themselves to dunk at times, MJ could just dunk regardless of what he was doing, very little loss of momentum and no need to gather himself.

What you think about Westbrook and Rose? Russel seems to dunk with more power than anyone, the sound the rim makes is unlike anything else. Like a tire on a bulldozer suddenly exploding.

This is an important one. MJ needed very little room to gather himself, and didn't need to bend his knees much. Also, the way he leaned forward or sideways in midair on many of his dunks is something you don't see from anyone else.

If Jordan never existed, Kobe would have no mannerisms and would be a soccer player. His only mission in life was to mimic Michael Jordan.

Amazing gif.

Attributes of Jordan's dunk I would say are his legs, he manipulates them in a way while in the air, makes it look better in slow motion. Also like someone else mentions, he leans a lot. Also something about his left hand on certain dunks.

Edit: Pippen style was also somewhat similar to Jordan's. Jordan obviously showed him how to do it his way, which means that perhaps there was some thought behind his style, rather than it just being completely spontaneous. That's just a guess.

Also, when necessary, you see Jordan holding the ball as high as possible, statue of liberty style, on a lot of dunks. Pippen did it as well. I'm not sure why nobody else does that anymore.

I'm not sure why nobody else does that anymore. It takes giant hands, which isn't to say other NBA players don't have giant hands, but a fair amount of them do not have Jordan and/or Pippen's combination of skill, hand size, and one-foot hops. There's even some big men who've struggled to palm a ball as easily as those guys did. Ben Wallace for instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyTRToRIGBM#t=0m31s

When players can palm a rock so easily, that's when you'll get the Julius Erving and Terence Stansbury dunk styles and whatnot. On the flip side, the palming statue of liberty dunks don't always carry the same force and intensity. They can still be strong, but that strength is often stemming more from the wrist than it is the entire arm, something non-palm dunks tend to contain more often.

I think the perfect example of a great dunk that really shows off his style is the Kiss The Rim dunk from Dallas in 1987. The lean and hangtime was ridiculous, and it looked even better in slow motion.

Seen here.

Jordan just got off the ground so fast and without a real build up. It's like just flexing his toe would make him spring up 3 feet.

That's kind of funny. After reading the nick names of the others comes Griffin the school bus. Positive attributes, but a school bus.
