I was always in the camp that Lebron is a much better player overall than Durant. I still believe in a pure head to head matchup that Lebron is much better. Durant simply can't stay in front of Lebron, or match his pure physical strength. Additionally, Lebron dominates the ball and game manages much better than Durant.

However, similarly Deron Williams has an edge over CP3 in head to head but I think CP3 is the better player.

Durant is off the charts efficient. It's unbelievable really how efficient he is. It makes up for any chucking Westbrook does.

I still think Lebron is better, but I think the difference is now 1 and 1a as opposed to 1 and a clear #2.

I think Durant has gotten stronger, smarter, rarely does anything dumb ever, and has improved leaps and bounds as an efficient, team oriented defender. He doesn't get bullied by anyone except Lebron. Lebron's combination of pure speed and power is unstoppable by anyone.

I think that Durant is actually a much better scorer than Lebron. Lebron needs the ball a lot more in his hands to score. Durant always always his team to play team oriented basketball and is efficient with his opportunities.

wow nice selective stats. post rebounding and assists. How about a stat for the amount of wide open 3s lebron got his team? I've watched a lot of basketball and 2012 Lebron put on one of the most dominant displays i have ever seen.

I think the only truly wrong statement in this thread is "... and it's not even close".

LeBron is somewhere between being an equally good player as Durant to being a significantly better player than KD, depending on how you view them.

It's very hard to make a case for KD being better than LeBron and it's just as hard to make a case for LeBron being so much better "that it's not even close".

WTF happening to Durant's rebounding? Just last month I thought he was at 8.5 RPG, now he's at 7.8. That's a drop of 0.7 in less than a month.

Durant's points, rebounding and much increased assist, to go along with his team's record were what had me put him ahead of LeBron in the MVP race. But now, he just lost that.

4.3 APG is great considering he plays with RW but 7.8 with PF/C core he plays with is disappointing. I understand Ibaka's improved tremendously but that's only one player, still got Scrubkins in the line up too and Collison barely plays 20 min/game.

Pre-prime Durant? Look, just because a guy's in his mid-20s does not automatically mean he will get better. Durant's prime started last season. He will be not much better and not much worse than he is now for the next 8 years. He'll retire a top twenty, and *perhaps* a top ten player of all time. But he's reached his ceiling.

The whole point of Durant is he's a finesse player who beats you with length and instinct and skill. If he had a totally different body, yes he would probably be a totally different player. If Larry Bird had a 45 inch vertical he probably wouldn't have been as good a shooter as he was. Durant is 7 feet tall and can dribble like Kobe and shoot like Peja. To ask for more physical talent than that is basically to ask to be MJ or Wilt.

LeBron has no prayer of guarding Durant and his team gets lit up by KD everytime they play. LeBron has won 7 of the last 10 vs Durant and 7 of those games were decided in the last minute.

I guess Melo owns LeBron's soul? He owns the head to head matchup for their careers. And Durant will win the MVP this year, that's already on lock.

LOL @ blaming Durant for the Finals when he averaged 31 a game on 55% shooting. And if it weren't' for foul trouble in a few games, that's likely 35 a game on 55% shooting.

Everyone told him he would feel unchained this season, the championship burden lifted, but he is still waiting for that sensation to take hold. "I know there is someone, somewhere, trying to take my spot," James says. "And I know where he is too. He's in Oklahoma. He's my inspiration because I see the direction he's headed, and it's the same direction I'm headed. I know his mind-set, and he knows mine. It's a collision course. We're driving one another." He is referring, of course, to Kevin Durant. They talk on the phone every week, friends and enemies, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird for a new era. "What's important to LeBron is what happens when he is facing KD again, or whoever it is in the Finals," Riley says. "[LeBron] needs that player to look back at him and think, This son of a bitch is too big, too strong, and his will is too great."

Durant put his heart on the line and did everything he could, which is probably why he was so emotional after the loss. To play your best and come up short due to teammates has to be extremely upsetting in the Finals. Wherein the past LeBron lost due to his poor play.

Right now, LBJ is the better player, keep in mind though that LBJ is now in his prime and we are likely seeing the best he will ever be, he's already lost some of the quickness he had a couple of years ago, not much but if you see his youtube videos from a few years ago, he was lightning fast. He's gotten stronger to compensate but even though he's still very quick/fast, he isn't what he was in 2008.

KD on the other hand is only 24 and he just keeps on getting better...I have no dog in this fight, I admire and respect both players but you have to be a stan to not see that KD has the potential to be the best player in the league in a couple of years, he's not even close to his prime yet and he's already the second best player.

It helps his case because if you're basing LeBron being the best player in the league by beating Durant head to head in the Finals, when Durant outscored him, then LeBron has absolutely NO argument for being better than Dirk who beat him in the 2011 Finals and embarrassed him in 4th quarters.

The hypocrisy is outrageous.

so we gonna act like 0-2 is not worse than 0-1? not to mention how many more years hes played than durant? if durant wins one this year, he is already on pace to surpass lebron. not saying he will, but is on pace thats all :confusedshrug:

0-2 is obviously much better than 0-1. Because, for some reason, people want to be ignorant to the fact that to lose in the Finals means you have to get there. I guess you'd rather get eliminated early than to lose in the Finals and taint that record. Don't be ignorant.

He's not on pace to surpass Lebron. Lebron was a better player at his age and at this point in his career. Lebron's 6th season was his first MVP year. That was better than what Durant is dong now.

And for the record, the reason that the Heat beat the Thunder in 5 games was because they were better than the Thunder. The Thunder showed they were a good team for being in most games but the Heat showed they were a better team by beating them in 5 and by never being in danger of losing that series. Ever. The Thunder were playing from behind and didn't make it up. The Heat won the series because the best player on the floor was Lebron James. Despite the stats, the guy who played the best in that series for OKC was Russell Westbrook. I saw Shaq put up great numbers against Houston in 95...you know why Orlando got swept? Because Hakeem beat Shaq's ass. Not because "the others" stepped up. Horry outplayed Grant. Clyde was great and so was Penny. It came down to what Houston's best guy did. And that's what happened in Miami. And just like with the 95 series, the two guys played the same position and one severely outplayed the other, despite the other putting up numbers...numbers that were gaping.

Great players have their time on top, it doesn't last forever. I've followed the league since Bird was the top player, then it was Magic, MJ, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, Kobe and now LeBron. What the fvck is so special about him that he won't pass the torch someday?

Um..you do realize LeBron made his 2nd Finals when he was 27, right? And Durant is 24 now?

And Durant is in his 6th year now and appears to be well on his way to his 1st MVP.

LeBron year 6 put up 28.4/7.6/7.3/1.7/1.0 on 48.9 FG% 34.4 3P% 59.1 TS%
Durant year 6 is putting up 28.5/7.8/4.3/1.6/1.3 on 52.3 FG% 41.4 3P% 65.4 TS%

Did LeBron average more assists? Sure, but he's on the ball twice as much as well. Does that mean that LeBron isn't a better playmaker than Durant? Absolutely not, he's much better than Durant in that department.

However you also have to take into consideration that Durant plays off of the ball, which creates spacing and free's up lanes for his teammates even when he doesn't have the ball. Something LeBron has never been able to do.

And so Durant=Shaq, LeBron=Hakeem. Gotcha

A matter of time, folks...He will be regarded as the best player one day.

LBJ stans, deal with it.

Tell that to the Kobe haters who say Duncan is better than Kobe because he never lost in the finals. The Lakers lost twice in the finals and the Spurs never did, but in those 2 years, the Lakers defeated the Spurs in the WCF. Just saying, I agree with your sentiments, but lets not act like Durant is never gonna get to the Finals again.

A players prime is predicated on minutes, not their age.

Kevin Durant joined the NBA really young just like Kobe, KG, LBJ,etc. Their physical primes were earlier than traditional players due to massive minutes they played so early while others were in college.

I think durant is just beginning his peak seasons right now. Obviously you don't, I don't know what you expect from him later on.

Another giggling idiot who can't distinguish the difference between a players peak and prime. KD is in his prime right now. Does that mean that this is his absolute peak, the best he will ever play? No. But it does mean that he is generally playing near that level.

Do you expect a 24 year old kd to suddenly have a drastic jump in his game? He can improve his defense and maybe his playmaking a little bit but he is already a complete player who is close to his maxing out his potential. We've been comparing him to lbj and lbj had arguably his best season at the same age and was undoubtedly in his prime.

Because he's 24? This isn't gymnastics, a player matures physically and MENTALLY, LBJ was a beast physically for years but now he "GETS IT", meaning he is mentally there right now. He now knows what it takes to win...

You guys really underestimate the mental side of the game. KD is nowhere near his mental prime. Time will tell. Shaq was a beast the minute he entered the league but it took a coach who stressed the mental side of the game to get him to where he was unstoppable and a winner.

No one is underestimating the mental side of the game. Each athlete's career goes like this:

There are two elevators, the athletic side, which starts at the top and the mental side, which starts at the bottom floor.

When they get close to each other, meet and later on when the mental elevator is slightly above the physical...that's the prime.

Kevin Durant is his prime. He's probably at 90-95% of his best at this very moment, he isn't going to be leaps and bounds better in 3-5 years. He's already playing like an All-Time Great, I don't know how much better you think he can be, but I don't see him progressing a whole ton ever.

I honestly think he's peaking at the moment. I believe he will stay around this level for 3-5 seasons and then the decline will occur.

He still can improve in some more aspects of his game, I mean he's only 24, he can be more of a leader for one; he has the ability to be a great defender wth his lenght, same with rebounding he gains some weight. I really believe we are seeing a easily top 10 GOAT player. His offensive game is just so fluid and natural.

Like I said before, LBJ is better right now, he's gonna wind up top 5 all time at least IMO, but KD is gonna be considered the best player in the league in next couple of years. He's a pure scorer, needs to improve in other aspects of the game but he's young ebough where I can see that happening. I would love to see a coach like Phil Jax work on KD.

He will be... in terms of rings, which in today's game is a huge factor in ranking players. It shouldn't be held against KD that Cleveland had a shitty front office, and that the OKC front office knows how to draft. :oldlol: Let's not act like Lebron shouldn't have had atleast two more Finals appearances with Cleveland too.

Not everything can be blamed on Lebron's teammates. That appears to be the scapegoat for any Lebron conversation that heads that direction. LBJ has only no names like Wade, Bosh and Allen...

Fvck off pvssy, his team is stacked, so he has no center, big deal, MJ didn't either and he played in an era where big men were important unlike today. 6 titles, no excuses.

He didn't go to a big market to team up with already successful superstars.

Your telling me, Westbrook/Martin > Wade/Bosh? stfu.
You're an idiot. The first part has no relevance and surprisingly the second doesn't either.

Durant has had way more help in his career, than Lebron has ever had.

At this point, Lebron's best players were Mo Williams and Varejao. Durant is playing with a stacked squad. Westbrook, Ibaka and Martin? That's insane talent.

I stand by my statement that other than a few MVPs (which KD will probably make up for down the line) KD with a ring and a FMVP this year would be on Lebron's level.
Ranking wise sure kd might build up a resume that looks more impressive but lebron was a better individual player. You put KD on lbj's team and he would lose both of those series. You are acting like it is ridiculous to put blame on lbj's teammates but if you watched those series you would see that mo williams choked and that lbj was on a roster that was inferior to the competition each time. How can anyone even try to knock lbj for not making the finals in 2009 when he played a legendary series against the magic.

Anyways, you stand by your shitty opinion. You think that with a ring, Durant will be ranked the same as Lebron. I think that you have relinquished the right to call anyone a Stan after such an idiotic statement like that. Lebron is nearing top ten status, you must be insane to think that one championship will do the same for Durant. Lebron has three MVPs, more Nba honors, how in the world does adding one ring to Durants resume elevate him to Lebron status?

I could see if you said top 30,but you're indirectly saying top 15ish in six years. I guess you think Durant is MJ.

Opinion based and purely speculation. You can make a a similar argument that KD's offensive repertoire and clutch gene make him a better individual player than Lebron.

In 2010, also known as the "give up" year for Lebron, he had more than enough talent with Jamison, Mo, Shaq (hobbled, I know), West, Parker, Varejao. They should have been in the Finals. Losing in the conference semis was unacceptable and at that point Lebron was just done and wanted out, and he knew that when he was on the court.

2009 was different because Lebron had less talent around him. Posted incredible numbers, but they had no answer for Dwight and Hedo-Rashard was a deadly combination. But they didn't even have their starting All-Star point guard for their playoff run that year so it wasn't like they were completely outmatched. So yeah, you can blame him for that despite his nice series. If he doesn't hit that lucky game winning 3 in whatever game it was, they get stomped 4-1 still.

Previous to that, yeah the teams were bad. But Lebron had showed the capability to be able to carry his team through the East before the Celtics came along. He and Boobie Gibson single handedly took them to the Finals in '07. The Celtics were truly the hump that he/they could not get over. But my point is, with an EC that was never better than the West all those years why could Lebron never get them back?

That's why I don't buy into the excuses of Lebron's team, because he did it before with a crappy team. I'm not trying to get into a long debate because with the Heat fanboys on this site it could go on for days and that's not what I'm looking to get into. But if you ask me, despite the numbers, Lebron didn't do all he could do especially in his last two years with Cleveland.

That's my opinion, and despite it all KD will still be on his level with a ring and an FMVP. Can't take that away from Durant.

I have noticed that you are always biased against the heat and lbj. If you don't like the team and if you don't like lbj that is your right but don't let that influence the way you see the games. Of course kd has the potential to surpass lbj but it just hasn't happened yet and you are being biased yet again when you say that 1mvp and 1ring puts him over lbj.

Second of all you need to stop putting blame on lbj for the cavs losing in 2009 playoffs, any unbiased observer would put ZERO blame on lbj for that. Stop being ridiculous. Mo choked and lebron can only physically guard one player between shard and hedo, what you expect him to do, clone himself and guard both of them and also guard dwight? He put up some ridiculous shit something like 37/7/7 with great defense and clutch plays and you are still blaming him?

You also need to realize that by 2010 jamison and shaq were absolutely done. KG raped jamison and shaq was WAY past his prime at that point. Celtics had a FAR more talented team and that team was championship calibre and came 4 points short in a game 7 from becoming the champs. Lebron had that terrible game 5 but one game does not a series make and despite his mediocre series he did not get any help at all from his teammates. He just lost to the better and more talented team. Even when you include lebron into the equation, an experienced team with good chemistry composed of KG Allen Pierce Rondo is just superior to what lbj was working with.

 Why are you putting words into my mouth, brother?

1. I've been clear and open about how I feel toward James and the Heat, not a new discovery by any means. I give the team credit where it is due, but it's not a stretch at all to say Lebron has underachieved in his career.

2. I never said anything close to KD with a ring is better than Lebron. :oldlol: I said he would be on his level. Also if this were the case, Durant would be considered a better player at 24. And would have the same championship credentials that Lebron has in present day (which he needed to join 2 superstars to achieve, there's no lie there). Not seeing what's so hard to understand about that.

3. In a 2009 ECF Lebron never even attempted to guard Dwight, so that is an irrelevant point you are trying to make. I'll say once again, he had a team good enough to beat an Orlando Magic team that wasn't even at full strength and they came up short. If they clutch plays you are referring to is the lucky buzzer beater he hit over Hedo, you would be slightly correct. But overall he didn't make enough plays at the end of games to take it home. You can blame it on Mo, but it's not like he had any championship or deep playoff experience for that matter. I agreed and said his team was bad and they had no answer for Dwight, but adjustments could have been made in this series to make it more competitive. Maybe the coaching is to blame more than the actual team, who knows? Not like they ran any efficient kind of offense in Cleveland or anything.

4. I wouldn't say Jamison was done considering he averaged 20PPG after Lebron left. He was never a defensive specialist, so you can't put the done tag on him because he couldn't guard a close to prime KG. Rashard Lewis had similar trouble guarding Garnett, but the team was able to adjust and the Magic were able to beat them on their Finals run the previous year. Shaq was done, but enough of a physical specimen to protect the paint (essentially they had gotten him to counter the Dwightmare they had experienced in the previous playoff run). But if anything those Celtics series had more to do with them knowing how to handle and play quality team defense against Lebron. Let's not act like Rondo was the player he is now. It was the big 3 + solid veteran role players + defense that won the series. At that point Lebron had also given up and had put a mental block on himself saying the Cavs could not beat the Celtics. By the time Game 6 of the series came along, you could already tell he was focused more on leaving then the game at hand.

EDIT: Scratch the Magic able to get past Celtics on Finals run comment. Forgot KG was out that postseason, but I do recall in other playoffs Rashard having to guard KG and getting owned.

You are so ridiculously biased that this is a waste of time. If you can't acknowledge that lbj was very good against the magic and if you think that this roster coached by mike brown is a half-decent team then there is no reasoning with you.

Jamison, Mo, Shaq (hobbled, I know), West, Parker, Varejao.

red1
01-13-2013, 01:31 PM
Jamison was incapable of playing defense and two years later he is the exact same player and he can't even get minutes off the bench playing with a lakers team that desperately needs someone to step up. Mo was shit and anthony parker was old. Varejao and west were good roleplayers but that is not good enough when you are going up against an excellent celtics team. You acting like rondo wasn't a good player at that point is ridiculous as he was very good in that series.

a lot of what Lebron fans seem to always forget or just not understand is that there are other ways of building a championship team other than accumilating a bunch of all nba players.

Those cavs teams were built PERFECTLY around Lebron, they suited his strengths to a T. Lebron is at his best when he can be the ball dominant player and create for others.

The Cavs did an excellent job of putting a bunch of spot up knock down shooters around Lebron, with a deep front court who's main concern was defense and rebounding.

That team was built perfectly around Lebron, the players around him complimented his game beautifully.

This is why they had back 2 back 60 + win seasons and finished 1st in the east every year.

And before you say "It was all Lebron winning those 60 + games" ask yourself why the HEAT haven't won 60 games in a season since the decision and why they haven't finished 1st in the east yet..

The difference between those Cavs teams and the HEAT teams of the past couple of years is that while the Cavs were built better around Lebron, they didn't have another "superstar" who could take over/distract the defenses attention away from Lebron for a good stretch of the game like the HEAT do now, which allows Lebron the freedom of not having the defenses attention focused soley on him for most of the game

True. So who was better at this age? To me it is obvious that 2008-2009 24 year old lebron was better than durant right now.
The season isn't over yet and KD is on his way to be slightly better then 24 year old LJ. KD is already the better clutch player and shooter. Just like LJ did in 09 stepping up defensively, KD has been doing the samething. KD steals and blocks are up this year.

Thunder couldn't get it done against the Heat last finals... why?

Lebron > NBA

KD is balling though :D

Maybe because the Heat only had to face D-League teams right up until the Finals, whereas the Thunder had to beat at least 2 if not 3 quality opponents to get to the finals.

If the Heat had to go through the Spurs, Lakers, Mavs, Griz, Clips, etc. to get to the Finals, they might not even make it there in the first place.

Therefore all you can is

Lebron > the East

Which is not saying much at all.

The 2011 Mavs had players aside from Dirk that could hit clutch shots. The last time a LeBron's teammate in Cleveland did that was Boobie Gibson. The problem was that the role players didn't live up to their regular season play. If mo williams was at his averages during the magic series and if he was able to hit the wide open shots lebron created for him then the cavs would have won that series DESPITE all of the flaws on the roster that the magic were able to exploit. Honestly this is what it all comes down to. People are just mad that lebron decided to take his fate into his own hands and put himself in a position to actually win and get his first ring and fmvp.

Because he's 24?

24 years old, 6th season.

You guys really underestimate the mental side of the game. KD is nowhere near his mental prime. Time will tell. Shaq was a beast the minute he entered the league but it took a coach who stressed the mental side of the game to get him to where he was unstoppable and a winner.

Durant already has been to the Finals, 2 WCF's, his team winning a lot of games right now, and he's done a lot at this young age that players from the past never even accomplished but are in the Hall of Fame.

How exactly is Durant missing anything, mentally ? What is he exactly lacking mental wise ? Is it to take the last shot ? Because he has 3 game winners in the playoffs last year. Winning ? He just lost to the better player and team that outperformed his. That makes him a loser how ? It's not like he crumbled in the Finals either.

So no, I don't really see what he's mentally missing. I do like your Shaq example, though. I can see it being similar to Shaq's career path.

Lebron James is not the scorer that Durant is, but he is the most versatile, hyper efficient player that the NBA has seen in some time, he can guard any player on the court and win the matchup. His assists and rebounds, show his versatility, his efficiency shows how important he is to his team.

Lebron at the same age was the mvp and was considered the best player by most people not in LA. I remember him having a feature on 60 minutes where at the time people were thinking he was on pace to be the GOAT. Let's see what kd does by the end of this season.

http://garciamedialife.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/lebron-james-cover.jpg

The only reason why hes on pace as a GOAT is because of stats but jordan actually had success when he had lower PER. If theres someone whos closer to Jordan. Its durant then kobe. Lebron is nowhere near jordan. Assists are meaningless stats for a scorer unless youre a statpadder. Just ask oscar robertson. Jordan, shaq didnt averaged triple doubles. Its the players that concentrate on improving on their roles that goes on to win multiple titles while lebron would be ringless if he didnt cheated his way to miami.

GTFO.

I could see if you said top 30,but you're indirectly saying top 15ish in six years. I guess you think Durant is MJ.

maybe because durant didnt cheated and he won on a small market. And definitely bosh>>>westbrook then you add wade, a former mvp.

lebron + wade = had a shitty record and couldve been eliminated by old ass celtics while westbrook (inferior player to wade) with durant have made it to the finals. What lebron stans dont get is that lebron is a statpadder thats why he needed 2 superstars to win in this league while jordan only needed pippen whos not even as good as bosh.

Jordan THE GOAT didnt average triple doubles so why is this Lebron guy considered the best because of triple doubles. In fact kobe is even better than lebron. The 5 rings speak for itself. And this years durant is a level that kobe could only dreamed of.

the truth hurts. The difference between lebron and other greats like jordan, rusell, magic, duncan is that they are unselfish. They delegate roles and trusted their teammates of their roles while lebron cant coz he cares more about the stats. Thats why he joined miami coz hes becoming the laughing stock of the league winning 2 mvps while always failing in the playoffs. Thats why durant already made his team contender in just his 3rd season while it took lebron 6 coz he trusted his teammates. Sorry but statpadders are not really as impactful as their stats says because they reduce their teammates effectiveness. Thats why its the jordan, magic who concentrates more on improving on their roles as either scorers or pgs rather than the jack of all trades master of none lebron, oscar that wins the most in this league. Its the reason why score first pgs like iverson, rose that are considered the lowest impact superstars in this league and are even considered cancers.

LeBron is one of the most unselfish players in the league. He is a willing passer and will more often than not pass out of a good shot for himself for a great shot for a teammate.

To say that LeBron is "just a statpadder" and that his game is not that impactful is idiotic.

He has the greatest impact on the game of any player in the league. He can take over a game by playing elite defense and then overpower you in the post and score or if doubled find the open guy for an easy look.

I don't know what reality you live in but for the last 2 years no player in NBA HISTORY has recieved as much unfair criticism as lebron. No player has ever been in as much of a lose-lose situation when it comes to everything. Sure he brought some of it onto himself with the immature way he left cleveland but he acknowledged his mistake and admit he would redo it if given the option. The only people who have a right to be annoyed with the decision are cavs fans, this shit coming from anyone else is just sour grapes. And even they need to understand that his decision from a basketball legacy standpoint was the correct one.

His team was headed nowhere in cleveland and even if he managed to convince someone to join him - amare was a big name back then - he still wouldnt have a championship calibre team around him after 7 full years in the league. That right there is half of a players career. How can you blame a guy for wanting to win? Look at what jordan, kobe, magic, bird, shaq, durant have all had to work with. Then look at what lbj had.

Now everything has changed since he won but man was it ridiculous after he lost to the mavericks. Sure he choked against the mavs but you had people like phong and knicksman over here trying to use that as evidence to vindicate and justify every single irrational bit of hate they have had towards the guy. People always used to say shit like he will never win, he is a statpadder who can't win etc, etc and now even after he led his team to the chip even though his all-star teammates were injured and not capable of playing to their potential, the fact that you are still calling him a statpadder that doesnt impact the game just shows a mental deficiency on your part. ...and Tim Duncan over Lebron? Haaa! Dont be silly now... stop it... just stop... thats when you know somebody is getting overrated...

The ONLY guy in NBA history you would probably not be making a mistake by taking over Lebron is Michael Jordan... or Oscar Robertson/Wilt Chamberlain (but only if they could drop those numbers in a modern era)

Yeah, let me just use the ISH search function... :durantunimpressed:

Why would I make stuff like that up? For my own entertainment? :oldlol: It was legitimately said by a couple of Bron stans a couple days ago. If I find the thread it was in I'll be sure to link to it. No need to be douchebags.

This is the only guy I can think off:

And I think everyone considers him a troll.

:wtf:

Thats not even close to the same thing. Pauk saying he would take lbj over duncan in a draft is not equivalent to pauk saying that he ranks lbj over duncan right now. Keep in mind that pauk is the biggest homer and if even he doesnt do it, then it is safe to say that noone does.

I know bro, that's why I said it's not the same thing.

It just sounds stupid how pauk was kinda dissing Duncan... like it's not even close or an insult. By the way:

But he's got an obvious agenda to start with, so...

Speak to your Lebron fans who think he is better than Mamba and Duncan with 1 ring, three MVPs and two Finals he walked away from empty handed. :oldlol:

Derivative, the world's greatest bball analyst, presents his time top 10 BEST player list. A list that's based on how GOOD a players is, independent of his accomplishments and accolades.

1. Michael Jordan
2. Larry Bird
3. Lebron James
4. Magic Johnson
5. Shaquille O'neal
6. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
7. Hakeem Olajuwon
8. Tim Duncan
9. Kobe Bryant
10. Wilt Chamberlain

still not the same thing hombre :oldlol:

Magic, Bird and even #1 hater Skip Bayless have said that Lebron is probably the most talented player to ever play the game behind Jordan.

Accomplishments are a completely different thing and makes Lebron obviously not close.

Honestly tmt your posts just rub me the wrong way because you let your bias cloud your judgement. I know the heat winning is a threat to the success of your team but that doesnt mean you have to post biased shit all the time.

red1, I think there were more people being "in the moment" about LeBron's ranking at the time he won the title. Not on ISH (unless I missed the threads), but I do recall seeing people saying he was Top 5/10 and such.

But that altogether is different as well.

It's not that hard to say:

True. To be honest I was even happy for pauk because that guy was getting clowned every single day but he stood by his guy like a soldier and ultimately got the last laugh

You do realize that Magic is one of the all-time leaders in triple doubles right? I mean he got them all the ****ing time. Does that make him a selfish player? Magic is one of the greatest all around players ever. Yet he doesn't fit your criteria to be a selfish player.

Why is that?

magic is a pure pg. What I mean is players who scores and pass at the same time and thats what lebron tmac, oscar does iverson does.

lebron is a jack of all trade master of none player but ill take quality over quantity any day. Ill take an elite scorer/playmaker in durant/jordan/magic over players who have multiple skills but not the best at those roles like lebron. Lebron is never as good of a passer as magic and he is never as good of a scorer as jordan/durant. Ill take the pures over the statpadders. Thats why the pures have 6 and 5 rings while oscar has none as the man and lebrons ring has the value of a ring chaser.

according to knicks man:
-pippen is not as good as bosh
-lebron is a selfish player with low impact who reduces his teammates effectiveness
-derrick rose is a cancer and low impact superstar

anything else you wanna add?

Durant has been better on both offense and defense than LBJ....he is a better player...james is a better passer...thats it. Lol at people pointing at 0.7 drop in rebounds....smh

the peoplemsaying it isnt close are idiots and cant even justify what theymare saying. James is playing with 2 top 15 scorers on his team in a weaker conference and Durant's team still has a better record. Durant is better than lbj....deal with it.
