I didn't think things could get any worse for him than what I saw in NY, but he's taken it to a whole new level. You have to admire that. Just when you think he can't, he tops himself. They need to trade for young players that can play defense on the perimeter. Even though Antoni only practices defense for 30 ****ing minutes, his team is just not good enough defensively. Mike Brown was a defensive coach and teams still destroyed the Lakers. The coach is a minor problem, the players like Gasol, Jamison, and Meeks - who can't guard anybody and can't make an open shot is what the problem is. They need to trade those kind of players for a package of perimeter defenders or no matter who the coach is, they will miss this years playoffs.

Why the **** does management give these guys 3+ year deals? Give them a one year contract so you can fire there ass if they suck, and if they are successful, extend the contract. Lakers are not going to make the Playoffs this year, and when that happens, no way is Antoni going to coach next year so they will have 2 coaches that they have to pay millions of dollars to the next 2 years that aren't even their coach, but that's what they deserve for giving them these deals and for not making a trade for defensive players.

When the LA crowd was chanting "We want Phil", I remember certain posters on here saying Mike D'Antoni would be a better fit than an old Phil Jackson who only wanted to coach home games. Until we make the right coaching decisions, assistant coaches included, we aren't making any waves. The Mike D'Antoni hire was almost as boneheaded as the Mike Brown hire. Sadly, the Lakers probably wont fire him until the offseason at the earliest. By that time Pau will be traded because he cant fit the system. I wish he was used properly.

D' Antoni knows tonight's starting lineup is the one that fits his philosophy best. Told my best friend weeks ago that they should make Earl Clark sTay after practice and make 200 threes each time. His length, activity and not needing anything run for him fit what Mike d is trying to accomplish. With consistent pt he will be an adequate shooter. Gasol should only play the five position which means limited minutes for him unfortunately.

Perhaps they were just running weird rotations to experiment and find their strengths? Seems unrealistic to just come in and dominate with a new coach and all new players. If they weren't trying out new players I highly doubt Sacre would have ever got two prime time starts. Now he kind of contributes off the bench. That is a decent way to motivate a player is put him through the grinder against an elite team. Had to have improved his game a little.
