If it's not bad defense, it's turnovers.
LA could be up by 30+ right now if they didn't turn the ball over every other possession.

This was probably my most hated thing about D'antoni coaching us, he didn't know when to call timeouts. So many times teams would go on a 8-0 or whatever run against us and he didn't call a time out till it blew out to 18-4 or something stupid like that and it put us right out of so many games.

EARL CLARK!?
Oh my, I thought he was just a fluke.
This kid is playing so well, a diamond in the rough perhaps?

Kid is athletic, quick...moves great without the ball, and can actually shoot the ball? Wow. I honestly haven't even heard his name until he came to LA from Orlando.

I did some research, he was a lottery pick.
Perhaps a late bloomer? Wow I am loving this kid. I just wish Jordan Hill didn't get injured for the year. :( Like my favorite Laker this season had to get injured?

If only the Lakers could give this much effort defensively, they would be right there with the Clippers and Thunder right now. Every single player tonight was hustling on D. It's 70% effort, just play your hearts out and keep battling.

If Pau is back for Miami's game, I say LA wins out their remaining games in January (as I've said before this game).

Really enjoyed the ball movement in the 1st quarter, after that it got very sloppy but thankfully we kept the momentum on our side and blew the Cavs out.

Nice win, still a shit load of room for improvement.

Finally a win. Finally a game in which LA controlled the entire game. When was the last time the Lakers were up by a comfortable margin the entire game? The blowout win s Denver maybe, which was at least a month ago. Great team defense tonight, probably their best defense they played since Bernie was the coach. Meanwhile Portland loses tonight and now LA is 4 games behind for the 8th seed. Still have time to get to the Playoffs but they need to be nearly perfect along the way. Can't lose to the Bucks on Tuesday.

Portland, Twolves and Houston all lost  Lakers need to strike now. Luckily the Bucks are another team that have 2 guys that will shoot you out of the game. What happens to Earl Clark once Gasol returns?

I have really liked how Clark, Morris and Jamison has played the last three games. Now if only Meeks, and a returning Blake can follow in their footsteps, we'd have a pretty productive bench.

I am not sure what to do with Pau, the problem is D'Antoni hasn't ran an offense that's best suited for Pau. Clark is a lot like Shawn Marion so naturally he looks a lot better in our fast tempo offense.

I am amazed by Clark, where did this kid come from?

This game is just more proof that Pau/Dwight simply don't work together, just as Bynum/Pau didn't.

Nash said it himself:

He can be the playmaker in 4-on-3, 3-on-2 situations where he really thrives. The fact of the matter, it's tough to get inside to him when Dwight and him are on the floor together. To Pau's credit, he can stretch the floor more than Dwight and he's more of a playmaker, so sometimes he's going to find himself on the perimeter."

They need to trade Pau ASAP.

I hope Clark starts and Gasol plays with the 2nd unit off the bench. Nothing will happen to Earl Clark, he's going to get a lot of minutes since Hill's done for the season.

Yup Lakers need to realize that it's new league out there. The slow plodding "twin towers" doesn't work any more. You need length, speed and athleticism on the perimeter.
