That shot was incredible, very Kobe-esque. He scored most of their points that quarter to.

That was a super tough shot to pull indeed. Magic defender did a good job, but Demar just do it better!!!

3rd highest made 16-23 foot jumpers among guards in the league;
after Kyrie and RIP Hamilton,
before Kobe and Curry.

I think this man can shoot my friend.

I hope you're right. I also hope Colangelo isn't given another chance either. I'm liking this team; Ed, Demar, and Terrence are young and skilled and like being here. Gives hope for the future.

Bargnani is truly the anti-mvp. No other player can make a team improve so drastically just by being absent. If you remove the scrubbiest of the scrubs from their teams that wont change their record and other cancers like demarcus cousins at least contribute on the court

If that's the core your banking on for future success then prepare to be very disappointed.

Do you see any 3 of those guys being solid staters on a good team now or in the future? I sure don't and I'm a big Ed Davis fan who has been pushing for his playing time ever since he came to Toronto.

I could see all 3 in particular Ed and Ross fitting in on teams like the Warriors, Spurs, Clippers amongst and other good teams and DD is already a solid player. Non would be the main guy but solid/good players why not?

So 3 solid bench players. Awesome. Now all the Raptors need is to find 5 guys that you can give 30-35 minutes per game to.

Solid starters imo not bench players

The Raptors core needs a superstar player or 2 or 2-3 very good players to be true contenders.

I just wish the Raptors had the payroll for that.

They could if they didn't hand out tons of money to should-be-bench-players like Bargnani, Derozan, Johnson, Kleiza and Fields. If you're a mediocre player, come to Toronto, say you love the city and you will be rewarded with a nice contract.

I like Davis and Ross but they are still missing a star player or two. I see Davis/Ross developing into solid to good starters but not necessarily all-star caliber. As for Andrea i haven't like much of what I've seen from him in his career, but it seemed like he was starting to turn it around prior to getting injured last season.

If the game was more important, he would do the celebration differently. Also, Demar is not that of a clutch shooter. If my memory serves me right, this supposes to be his first ever game-winning buzzer-beater.

Just now watched this clip. That's totally my signature move! My right-to-left fallaway looks exactly like that. I stole it from that old Steve Francis summer rec. league video clip. The only difference is I'm not an NBA basketball player with a 40 inch vertical drilling that shot from the NBA line with a 6'9'' 300 pound NBA guy and his NBA teammate double teaming me with the game on the line in the corner. Otherwise, exactly the same.

That was a step back 3, he still had more time for that one. He was looking to win the game because they were down by 2, not tied.

The one vs the Jazz this year (the game that went into triple OT) was just as bad. Fade away attempt over Millsap on top of the key, in the first OT period IIRC.

He has improved some facet of his game every off season. I think hes still got one more level too go before he caps out and becomes the player he will be going into his prime. Hes stil only 23 i think. maybe that next level is 4th quarter cluchness and killer instinct??

Kujo
01-26-2013, 10:13 PM
His ball handling is still a major issue, he's still a poor 3 point shooter, and doesn't get to the FT line enough.

All that being said, he's having his best season a pro, easily. He's playing with a lot of confidence.

I don't remember the last time a Raptor hit a game winner at the buzzer.

If he addresses his weaknesses, he could average 20-25 a game. Maybe I'm dreaming.

Maybe if some team lets him shoot 20-22 times per game and play 40 minutes. Sure.

Derozan doesn't have the ball-handling skills or the shooting ability to ever score that much and actually be efficient.
