View Full Version : The Miami Heat have prime chance to bury the Celtics mentally
The Celtics, losers of 6 straight games, are reeling. This game vs Miami tomorrow at 1pm is their biggest game of the season. Boston, with a losing record of 20-23, are only 2 games ahead of the 76ers for the 8th and final playoff spot, and are 4 games behind 7th.
If Miami railroads and beat the Celtics in embarrassing fashion in Boston tomorrow afternoon, we could see a mutiny within that franchise. There is already talk of infighting among players with their head coach Doc Rivers. There's a lack of trust within that l;ocker room from all directions. Moreover the Celtics are a poorly constructed team as they currently stand. And Celtic fans are very disenchanted with the 1st half of the Celtics season.
Five years ago the Celtics were a team that could coast early in games and turn it up for wins. Nowadays, it's the opposite. After early leads they get kicked around all over the place just to lose, partly to do with their old legs.
If the Heat win tomorrow, it could be the end of the Celtics. They may just give up with all the negativity surrounding that team and miss the playoffs altogether. Why even bother making the playoffs when they know they'll get beat down hard versus the Heat in the 1st round
It's A VC3!!!

I was just thinking this. The Heat need to go out tomorow like this is a huge game. Show out 100% and crush the Celtics into the ground. Break their spirits with Lebron and Wade attacking the basket and Ray Allen nailing threes.

A poorly constructed team? Are you serious? Their best players are old and they have had a big change of personnel. Nothing to do with the way they are constructed. The Heat are poorly constructed, but get by with talent and the best player in the game, they are certainly not a well constrtucted team by any means.
If anything, the celtics might use this game as a kickstart to their season and get on a run. You should know not to underestimate the celtics, they were a bees dick away from beating your team last year, without bradley and green.
I hope my Bulls embarass your team, and most of the loser fans that support them. You are one of the worst :facepalm

Unfortunately that's about 90% of your fanbase. But more credit to ya if you are a legit Heat fan. Celtics still should have been in the Finals last season, imo. Not that it matters what I think.

Haters something coming when it's playoff time.
Don't underestimate Boston. The Celtics mostly suck because Rondo is barely trying and Pierce rarely has his juices flowing for that extra step.
If the Celtics can fix Brandon Bass, they will be completely fine. It doesn't even matter if this bench figures out how to play.
Sure, things look grim, but I have faith in Pierce, KG, and Rondo when the postseason starts. They have been proven winners as underdogs time and time again.

**** it, I want Miami in the 1st round. Even if we turn it around and are a different team in the Playoffs, we're gonna have to go through them anyway. Rather get it over with early and if by some chance we steal the series it would be more embarrassing for the Heat/Heat fans

I dont see whats funny about that? Bulls are equiped to do so. Im not saying it will happen, but its possible. They have rebounders and defense that can cause all sorts of problems for the Heat. And don't think for a second that Rose will be any worse than he was, he will be back and perhaps better than what he was before.

I dont expect a non bulls fan to believe this. People close to Rose have been saying that the way he has been training and conditioning himself in his comeback has been remarkable, and have speculated that he could return better than preinjury. Adrian Patterson did it in the NFL, why not Rose?

Over the last 7 games, including the 6 game losing streak, Rondo is averaging:
16.9 ppg / 10.7 ast / 8.1 reb / 1.7 stl
He has 3 triple doubles in these 7 games...
Come on son. He's been playing a lot harder since Bradley came back.

I fully expect the team to go to shit if they lose a few more in a row. A win against the Heat could turn things around or hold it together a bit longer, but this team is not going anywhere.

I agree with you there. The next few games for the celtics is critical. Not because they are completely out of the race, but I think it could kill their belief in the team as a whole. They really need a trade to correct the rebounding defficiency IMO. Demarcus would of been perfect, wait til trade deadline i guess.
