Who do you think has more impact right now? Both guys are elite wing defenders but I think I'd take George. I think any team in the league would fit him into their starting lineup just due to how versatile he is defensively and how good he is at spreading the floor.

As a life-long Bulls fan who truly appreciates the way Deng has catered his game for us the last 4-5 years, and who strongly believes he deserves his two all-star appearances, it's Paul George by a solid margin.

Deng has peaked. He is a great on the ball defender. He is tremendous off the ball, and plays well in a team-system. His biggest weakness back in the early 2000's, his 3-point shooting, has been vastly improved the last four to five years. Something that is much appreciated considering we are building around Rose. So he is pretty much at his peak right now.

Paul George though, already has all of Deng's tools. This includes his defense, his ability to play off the ball (he has to in that Indy system), and 3-point shooting. On top of that, watching him play this year, it is clear that George has the tools to be a franchise-type of player or at the very least a tier one player (top 10 in the league). Many experts have agreed as well. I have been very impressed with his play-making ability this year, as well as his ability to take over in long periods of time during a game. This is a hard feat considering he is on a team with Hibbert, West, and George Hill. By that fact alone, you take him over Deng 10 out of 10 times.

The only thing Deng has on George right now is maturity and the experience of hitting clutch shots. But that is more due to the fact that George is only in his third year.

The point I was trying to make is that every gangbanger is not afraid of the police. You take that any way you want, but again, you are wrong, there are many instances where police have been shot and killed by Chicago gangs. The police were or still are afraid to go in some areas during New Year's for instance because the gangs outnumber and out gun the police. They just shut off areas of Cabrini Greens when I was young because the gang had terrorized the whole neighborhood.
