Why do I call them Skeleton Clippers? Well because Griffin, CP3, Billups (3 starters) are all out with injury and a few key players like Crawford are playing with injuries. About to tip off right now. Blake's been our only bright spot without CP3.. so I'm expecting a 10-15 point loss.

Clippersfan86

Blake's first missed game of his career outside of the entire first season he missed.

As they are already down like 17-7. :facepalm ... Bunch of ***** players sitting out over injuries most players play though, shitty training staff that is always behind schedule. Shitty inconsistent starters like Green, Butler and DJ.

Clippers are without a starter. In the 3 games he played they had double the 3 pointers made rate, nearly double the assist rate and put up significantly improved defensive numbers. His impact is huge and he WILL be a starter... so to act like it's not a loss when Green has 2 total points in 4 games is an ignorant, dipshit comment of a hating fakkit.

When healthy, they are. The numbers back it up and pretty much every coach in the NBA this year has repeated it before games, not to mention rival players. Hard to have the same depth when Griffin, CP3, Billups are out. Guys like Bledsoe being forced to start hurts your depth obviously. Same with Odom starting.

The Clippers second unit is better than at least 5-6 starting 5's is what I said. Besides only people that don't understand how basketball works would raise these issues when the Clippers are EXTREMELY shorthanded. If the Lakers were missing Kobe and Dwight you'd be lucky to win a single game.

Wow...chill out.

I'm already pissed about the injuries causing a dip in the standings... it's annoying for everybody to take a dump on the team illogically. The depth shouldn't be question when it ran a train on the league for over a month until the injuries starting piling up. Hell even without Hill and Odom the bench was destroying teams. Obviously when you force these same bench players to start full time.... the depth is going to suffer :facepalm .

Amare= trash... Shumpert= role player, Felton= solid starter, not an all star.

CP3+Blake mean more to the Clippers and produce more than the combination of Shumpert, Amare and Felton. Not to mention more than raw production... these are the leaders of our team, can't say the same for your players. I understand the Knicks have been short, so have the Clippers with guys like Hill, Odom, Billups out for a month or more a piece. Try going two weeks without Melo though.

Give me CP3+Griffin and I don't talk about the injuries much. We can live with the role players being out here and there but when it starts becoming your superstars.. it adds up. Clippers were 32-9 before CP3 went down.. and have spiraled since.

He hasn't missed a game

He may as well have. He was out with a bruised knee for most of the summer which means the first month and a half of the season he was playing himself into shape (has lost 22 pounds). Bottom line is the Clippers were getting zero contributions due to an injury leading into it.

Well their thinking is... save these guys for the playoffs but if we go in as the 5 seed instead of the 1 or 2 seed we had almost all season... it can be the difference between being out in the first round vs WCF due to homecourt or matchups. Basically you can't afford to act like the regular season isn't important.

Wizards beat writer from the game.

"Eric Bledsoe is really outplaying John Wall in the 1st half. JW seems to be caught up in the duel, EB just trying to win."

I'm going to laugh when Bledsoe ends up with a back to back 20/10 game after people including many Clippers fans here are so quick to shit on him and throw him under the bus for his flaws. The blame should be going to Willie Green and Butler who CONSISTENTLY hold this team back almost every single night. In 4 and a half games now Green has 4 total points.

I think it's shitty :confusedshrug: . I think outside of his rebounding and solid defense he's become a liability on offense to the point to where he's Reggie Evans 2.0. He's basically an 8 mill a year Reggie Evans at this point.

Clippers just going through a rough stretch, that's all. When they went on that incredible streak in December, I knew there would be an equalizer sooner or later. They'll still finish top 4, but you do have to wonder about Chris Paul: can he stay healthy?

Historically, no. But, time will undoubtedly tell. One thing is for sure; Bledsoe isn't half as scary when he's slated to play facilitator instead of attacker. Clippers need to find a way to solidify a temporary replacement for CP3 so that Bledsoe can go back to being effective spark off the bench.

Not sure what your obsession with Taylor is... the dude was a bonafide scrub. He had a few nasty athletic plays in his Clippers career, played scrappy D and that was the end. Bledsoe is 10 times the player. Can't get mad at a player who's not even supposed to be a starter yet leads a huge comeback, has a near double double.. and plays great D on the other teams star player.

Bledsoe is just stronger and better on D as a result. Otherwise, Taylor is better on offense.

For example, 28 seconds left, down 8, quick possession to shoot a three instead it ends up in a turnover because Bledsoe has a smaller basketball IQ than Darius Miles.

Just accept the fact that Bledsoe is nothing more than a high energy backup who has no place starting. At this point, Clippers would be better off starting a backcourt of Hill/Green and letting Bleds only play 20 a game, like he should be.

you're more intelligent than this

i don't see how you can watch this game or last game and call eric bledsoe just a high energy defender off the bench. he needs work but has undeniable talent.

5-5 w/o CP3. Not that bad.

5-6. The problem isn't the overall record. It was the fact that with Bledsoe starting we started off 3-0 with a win margin of 16 ppg. Then now out of the blue we are getting pwned by lotto teams.

I have pretty much never disagreed with you but your analysis is flat out WRONG on Bledsoe. Nothing more of a high energy defender? Yet dude has 23 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks last night... then 17 points, 9 assists and 2 blocks tonight?

He got exposed the minute he was asked what his offensive scheme was and with a straight face said "Chris Paul". I've been calling for his head for 2 full years now if you remember. BTW we aren't just losing to lottery teams.. we get our asses kicked lately. I mean we lose by 8 tonight and were down double digits multiple times.

No, I know. I'm just saying ... tonight was one you HAD to have. Even without Griff.

Gotta get a W in Orlando

Orlando by 12. I mean with CP3+Griffin they freaking beat us at Staples.

mike taylor never played any meaningful nba minutes which is important to remember and he could do nothing other than score. he was fun to watch but there are probably good reasons he isn't in the nba. he wasn't just cut by one team, he had a chance on another team.

If lac is the deepest team why can't they win through adversity? Spurs can. I said from day one without cp3 this te

This is their 3rd straight loss, and since the Warriors game in late January (the last time Paul has played), we've gone 2-6.

Offense has looked like shit, cant take care of the ball, and scrubs get career nights of of us. It's been pretty bad.

Spurs having something we don't and so does your team. A good coach. Mark Jackson and Pop are always going to get effort, hustle and consistency from their team one way or another. Besides you had Curry out what 4 games? CP3 has been out 12. Not to mention the loss of CP3 is much greater than Bogut or Curry for you guys or Manu for the Spurs. Clippers have pretty much had 2-3 top players out all year long.

I am assuming you are counting Chauncey Billups and Grant Hill as your top players

Trying to figure out why I keep watching this same train wreck every single game. May just take a week or two off Clippers games until CP3 returns which would be the first time I've done that in like 8-10 years.
I doubt this happens. Die hard fans say shit like this all the time, but we keep coming back for more.

That's exactly my point. If the team is so deep, they should be able to weather the storm without just one guy. And you didn't mention Duncan for the spurs.

:oldlol: :oldlol: I just looked up the games played by the Clipps. Griffin has missed one game, Craw Buttler, Barnes 2, D'andre, Bleds, Odom 0.

He must mean those 2 :oldlol:

on top of that he shot 36.4% from the field BEFORE the injury, what is he going to shoot now? 25%?

Billups, come on now. He's not the type of guy who is going to contribute as much as you want him to.

For the "deepest" team they should be able to take care of the Wiz.

Gimme the Bulls bench over the Clips still any day all day.

yeah it's just nutty. it'd be like me saying the knicks have been missing their TOP player rasheed wallace all year. obviously the only significant injuries right now are chris paul and blake griffin.

They would at worst be the 8th seed in the East if they were fully healthy for most the year. Yeah I agree Nene/Okafor/Ariza teamed with young guns in Wall/Beal/Crawford/Serahpine
