I'm getting sick of his "experiments". His lineup to start the 2nd quarter of this close game against Portland:

Aldrich
Anderson
Beverley
Delfino
Morris

...Beverley, Anderson and Delfino hadn't played a single minute prior.

and of course they go 4.5 minutes without scoring with a few ugly turnovers.

His line juggling has always been a problem. He would have his whole bench out in the beginning of the 4th. Then he would wait till his team is down big before getting his starters back into the game.

More stupidity from McFail tonight. Benched Lin for Beverley entire 4th in a VERY close game with Beverley bringing energy, but almost nothing else. No points, isn't running the offense at all (Harden doing it all) and Lin had 12 points in the 3rd quarter and was playing well.

Asik was also benched the entire fourth. I mean, I can KIND of see benching Asik due to free throws, but he had 15/12...you DON'T bench your defensive anchor in a close game like this.

Yep....bad coaching again. I liked the hustle and rebounding Beverley put in today, but it's just not sustainable and he didn't provide much on offense. Gotta put in the starters during crunch time.

Harden had to play one on five for the last 3-4 minutes basically. At least Lin gives him someone else to go through in the clutch...and now it's Dallas ball with 6.4 seconds left and up 2.

Game over.

**** MCFAIL!!!!

McFail needs to be tired.

We'll never get anywhere with this guy's dumbass rotations

Jeremy Lin's turnovers are the reasons he wasn't out there. He already had 3 and he didn't even sniffed the 4th quarter.

How come Aaron Brooks didn't step in at all?

Did you even watch the game or you just reading the box score?

And Beverley had 2 TOs in less time...what's your point?

I know there are a lot of Lin haters out there, but if you've been following the Rockets, it's obvious that him and Harden are the ONLY guys that run the offense. Beverley is a good backup, but he doesn't create like those two. No pick and roll, no drive and dish. His assists come off transition or passes to the wing to Parsons or Delfino for the 3. He brings tenacious D and a lot of energy, but he's the guy that supposed to provide a spark off the bench while the STARTER gets a breather.

I could understand if Lin was playing horribly and Beverley was on fire, but he was scoreless and Lin was 5-10 with 10 and should have been 6-11 with 13 if that 3 was counted at the end of the half.

And no DMO or Asik...in favor of TRob who has BARELY played with Harden???

I just don't get his rotations at all. No rhyme or reason...it just seems like he's flipping a coin out there.

Yep. Beverley is a pretty nice energy guy and I'm particularly impressed by his hustle rebounding, but you eventually have to go back to the starters barring poor play.

McHale got lucky TRob continued to play reasonably well at the end, but it's still questionable leaving a new rookie in during crunch time. Also, Delfino didn't belong there in the end, lots of boneheadedness and poor D.

McHale's feel for the game as a coach is just really poor, and I thought he might've slightly improved but close games like today happen so often.

Yes it was.

Aaron Brooks is obviously the better player and who besides Lin gets in? Friggin Patrick Beverley.

Read my post again.

I read the score board but we all know Lin coughs the ball up a a lot especially during crunch time.

Aaron Brooks deserves to be in more than Beverley.

Uhh, you want to throw in AB during crunch time for the first time playing for the team this season? That's gonna work.

Lin has subpar handles but he doesn't cough up the ball more in crunch time either. I recall only one bad pass by him today as well, the other TO was like a travel or something, don't remember the third. At least with Lin in your offensive options are greater. Without him in, everyone's mom knows McHale is going to get Harden to iso.

Beverley played fine with his hustle, but he wasn't getting it done on offense, the flow was just poor. Did you only boxscore peep today's game or something? :confusedshrug:
