View Full Version : How do you view other races?

In general. Not trying to be offensive, but this is how I see it...
White - Always found you guys a bit weird. Maybe because I wasn't raised around with alot of white kids. In general their humor is a bit too cheesy for me, but you guys always show respect, that's a plus.
Black - For the most part I've never had trouble with this race. The men have always shown me respect. Some of the women are OK, but I absolutely cannot stand the loud ghetto girls.
Asian - Always found the men to be socially awkward and distant in general, but they are nice people. I've always encountered two types of Asian women, they are either really bitchy & evil or friendly and horny.
Mexican - This is my race. The one I can relate to the most, but I also do not know how other races perceive us in general. The women are horny as hell & very passionate. There are two types of Mexican men, The Paisas (Mexican who mostly speaks Spanish who was born in Mexico) or the Chicano (Mexican who was born in America who grew up to both Mexican and American culture). I'm in the Chicano category.

Latino is not a race.
Not sure if Mexican is a race either nor is Asian but i'll comment on my own race.

Generally I hatr blacks. They're an ugly smelly race that can't take responsibility for anything. Mexicans are okay. Asians mind their business. Whites are corny and are always trying to be cutting edge. They're a bunch of trendy d bags.

white - too varied to judge but best sense of humor imo
black - know too few to judge, the ones I've encountered are too pitiful to say much about
asian - too varied again, their personalities depend on their upbringings, social groups, toughest group of immigrants I've encountered
we dont have latinos and mexicans really, but I know a Central American who is a cocky but good baller

This. Although I think it does take a bit of effort to do at first simply because it is human nature to categorize people. I've met people of different races that are more like me than people of my own race plenty of times. There are some weird white people out there lol.
I hate everyone equally.
people say this but it is rare to see it in practice. One of my former co-workers not only hated races but had a strong hate for humanity in general.

People like that should be forced to live out in the wilderness with no contact with civilization. Then we will see how much they hate us.
No centuries long scientific, medical, and artistic development for you!
And if they manage to survive and love it out there they can stay and we can be rid of them. Win win.

Hating at that level can't be done in public for sure, well, unless you have power of course.

he definitely has the skills to live in the wilderness and from his personal stories I can understand why he has that view point. When you are laying in the street with a shattered leg and many people pass you by without helping than I can see why he holds his views.

I personally don't think there is any difference between people so much as there are differences between cultures.
Take somebody from one culture and raise them in another culture and they will turn out the same as the people from that culture usually.

This
I was born into a Jewish family but there are plenty of Jews I've met who I can't stand.
Meanwhile, our next-door neighbors growing up were Iranian Muslims and we got along great; had dinner together, played with their kids, etc. I also had a close friend in high-school who happened to be of Palestinian Arab ethnicity. We never had any issues, and hung out all the time.
People are people, with good/nice and bad from all groups. Judging a people collectively is pretty much racism.

Blacks- funny animated dudes, more free spirited, tend to interact with their own, great athletes obviously. I like interacting with them on a casual social level, however since high school don't have any real close black friends. I also tend not to do any business with them. Don't really trust them based on shadiness or incompetence in past experiences.
Arabs- I like the khaliji, the gulf Arabs. They tend to exaggerate and boast like most Arabs, but they are honorable and trustworthy for the most part. Dislike morrocans, Algerians and Lebanese. They are loud, cowardly, and their word means very little.
Asians- quiet, respectful, hard, terrible humor. Man do they love to gamble. They stick very much to their own, but don't have a problem integrating themselves. I'm not attracted to their women, but overall have an easy time interacting with them.
Eastern Europeans- love their women. Their men are pretty damn crazy. Love to party and cause shiit. Even the educated ones can be pretty fukked up lol
White Americans- very friendly, social, outspoken people. They feel at home wherever they are. Some are very naive and hard headed in their views. Their educated people are very well spoken. I enjoy interacting with these people alot, incredibly hospitable and helpful. Don't like their variation of the drunk club goer, loud and incredibly obnoxious. The women are usually easy but I find eastern Europeans much sexier and sensual.
Latin Americans- incredibly friendly and warm people. Alot of my women friends are latinas. Love their women, fiery, hot and sensual like the weather of their land. Naturally in a good mood, and always up to party, they can be incredibly loud in groups and are also quick to get heated. My experience is mostly limited by the few who live in Canada as well as my vacations to Mexico, Cuba, Bahamas and the domicana

For sure, and I've always said this in the past. However, the more you interact with the same types of people, the more you notice a trend. I would be lying of I were to say that my brain doesn't conjure a certain bias when presented with a specific race. But the individual will always surprise you and has to be considered as its own entity.

people are different on soo many levels that I think it not possible to base views simply on race..
Black people in the northeast corridor of the country have a different culture than black people in the south or black people on the west coast.
Same with whites.. White people in Philly/NY/DC down to virginia seem to be similar, but in the south they are different.. They speak different and interact differently with others
Asians too.. I see alot of Asians who are intelligent on say, Penn University Campus, and fit the stereotype of the "model minority", but that doesnt account for the many more Asians I see who live in poverty in South Philly. The two seem world's apart and the way they interact with people is wildly different in comparison.
Then, like someone mentioned earlier it goes to each person. I usually try to hang my hat on the best of each culture.
Each group, each culture has an important story to tell from their perspective, and I like to learn about the wide range of perspectives that forms these groups..
This simplistic and naive way of trying to distinct a humans ethnic, geographical, cultural or even religious affiliation by RACE seriously needs to stop.... race has no taxonomic significance to humans at all, all living humans belong to the same race, Homo sapiens.....
I know we humans are lonely in the universe so far (from what we know) as in we dont know of any real intelligent alien beings out there which we can truly say is a different RACE and hence finally maybe feel assimilation with all other humans... but this desperate racial classification of humans comes to serve as a way of naturalizing social and cultural stereotypes about racial groups and assimilation and non-assimilation, in turn justifying or motivating different forms of racism, loathing and even war etc. against eachother.......
Hell, this happens even amongst the same "race" in many places on earth, for example do you know here in Europe many are nationalists/racists against any other Europeans (even though they all are white) simply because they dont speak the same language and are not from the same country or maybe have different religion??
So, no i cant give you my view on the other "races" (unless you are talking about animals, aliens i havent met), but thats how i view the human race.........
But to try and answer you anyways all i can say is that all humans i have met in my life were all different, all had their own mind/thoughts/behaviour.... just because some humans were born on the same spot on earth or look kindof similar in colors doesnt mean their minds are universally applicable... I am with L.Kizzle on this one i guess...

Whites- very politically correct, scared when it comes to discussing about race, very fake, materialistic, educated, some of them act like zombies, respectful in most cases
Asians- Shy, hardworking, smart and very independent. I do like asian girls but I do notice asians have bad breath for some reason :confusedshrug:

Problem with a lot of anti race rhetoric though are that people with an analytical brain often pick up on trends as a pattern and that's not an incorrect way of thinking its how many fields of science have accumulated knowledge and opponents of those who generalize will have u believe personal anecdotes and isolatedincidents pack stronger truth than generalizations

Agreed with you on the black part.
Most Asians I met are mostly social awkward in some sense, but perhaps that has something to do with the culture? They open up when they're with other asians, so I guess it's just a language barrier, or they're just not used to it.

Ever heard of a Napoleon complex?
You dont think people's behavior and actions depend on culture, upbringing, gene code, climate, etc. etc.?
There are definite differences between different ethnicities and populations. People are trying to be politically correct because that line of thinking can lead to racism and bigotry.
Again individuals can be as different as light and day, but common people have common traits in general, both physiologically and behaviorally.
So I don't know wtf all this nonsense cumbaya and we are the world is coming from, don't worry no one is recording this besides the CIA

I am disagreeing with you. Call it what you want, race, ethnicity, ethno-cultural and sociological background, if you want to get finicky with the classification....people from certain cultural backgrounds tend to behave in more similar ways than people from completely other cultural backgrounds. In general.
This is a thread to make non politically correct observations about these similarities and differences.
Now, I think it's naive for people to come in here and say, there are no differences, we are all the same, all created equal, one giant human race, etc etc...

The submissiveness of women, the concept of honor, the festive nature and overall less emphasis on heavy work loads in warmer climates? You don't think these things come into play?
Do you really need a scientific journal to point this out? Because there are probably a million such studies

So you are saying that if a Japanese person was born in the US then they will still hold some sort of traditional Japanese concept of honor and work diligence?
There are racial differences but they would be both minute over all and have massive degrees of overlap that it makes these categorizations meaningless.

It really depends how assimilated and integrated in society they are. So if they are first or second degree immigrants living in a metropolis with heavy pockets of their own populations, they will obviously behave and adhere to some of those traits differently than if they are a fourth generation immigrant that grew up in the suburbs of averagetown, USA.
Now personally, I spoke about my experiences with different ethnicities in my city, Montreal, where different racial groups do tend to live within their own, while the city is able to remain devoid of too much racial tension and maintains a multicultural flavor. People tend to definitely act in a certain way depending on their cultural background

Or, you've actually known many people that differ and don't fit into blanket statements. People have a tendency to ignore anything that goes against the nice, little generalizations they like to slap on people and just remember the ones that fit in (even if they don't exactly fit the stereotype). Perception and reality are often 2 very different things. People want to say 'latinas are fiery!' Shit, I've met many that are quiet and reserved. You'd have to set them on fire for them to be fiery.
People will surprise you if you give them a chance.

And a statement like this would make sense seeing as bicycles are a huge choice of transportation for an average human being from China. But the Westernized ones (cars from an early age) often tend to be exceptional drivers. No harm no foul.

Seriously miller? I always found you to be astute and logical. So you are saying there are no behavioral similarities and differences between Mexicans and the Japanese?
The submissiveness of women, the concept of honor, the festive nature and overall less emphasis on heavy work loads in warmer climates? You don't think these things come into play?
Do you really need a scientific journal to point this out? Because there are probably a million such studies
You are speaking on culture.. There alot of cultures and sub cultures inside dominant ones. American culture is a dominant culture... Inside of that you would have many sub cultures that relate to the dominant.
If you raise a chinese baby in a mexican culture, the child will look chinese but follow the norms of the culture in which it was raised.
like someone said earlier, race is really only a social construct and it only lives in consensus reality..

I am speaking on ethno-cultural background and ethnicities. As some one pointed out early, Mexicans aren't a race and he should have maybe changed title to ethnicities. OP just isn't wordy enough to distinguish between classifications. Is gene code alone going to make you behave a certain way, probably like most have said only at the most minute level, and the more minorities become assimilated and races cross breed globally, the less distinctions are going to exist. However, people from similar ethnicities clearly have similarities in their behavioral patterns....this thread could have been an interesting way to discuss and argue about those ethnocultural differences, both globally and in the microcosm melting pot that are the North American big cities

Its not only physical attributes but mentality ones. Certain group seem to have different mentality, culture, work ethic, social ethics and they bring it whenever they move to as a group.
Agreed. The West has developed a marxist school of thought when it comes to race and now you can't even say humans can be distinguished by race as it's viewed as racist. Irony! Everyone is different, every culture is different.
Bottom line is that people are different. People in the Balkans have different head shapes, physical features, etc, than a person from Sweden for example. A man in Montenegro averages around 6'1 feet tall, robust face, odd shaped head, long and bent nose which is completely different than the average man from Uzbekistan for example. The physical aspects of humans can distinguish us on race let alone social aspects.
I also don't rule out the fact that some humans have neanderthal dna(I know humans can't mix bla bla..)

Da Fuq?
The question is " How do you view Races?"...not " People raised in ________?"......Fact bieng....there are no such things as Race...
The question should read..." How do you view people raisd with minor diffrent beliefs then you?"
I grew up in the East bay?....( Nor Cal)
- I'm Black and native American Indian....I was around lots of Asian's(Chinese , Flips, and Japs)/Hindu Indians/White's and just about every other person maginable.
- I traveled all around Asia and spet over 2 years living in china and Japan...maybe this helped me com to my conclusion (along with science)

You can be fluent in Chinese, live the rest of your life in China, marry a Chinese girl but you'll never be Chinese(ethnically at least)

The problem is that physical differences are so varied both between and within races that it makes racial distinctions meaningless. There are overlaps, just because one particular race might have a higher average - say in speed - doesn't mean that everyone in that race is faster than everyone in another race. There is overlap. In fact you can have more in common with someone from another race than someone from the same race.
The visual stuff (height, skin colour, facial features) is largely arbitrary and doesn't have much functional meaning in the modern world where we spend most of our time indoors benefiting from the agricultural, industrial, and technological revolutions.

I've noticed that many white folks my age, especially the women, tend to speak very deliberately (talking with their hands, putting emphasis on every other word) in comparison to ******. They also tend to laugh more quietly.
Of course, this is generally speaking.

I'm not talking about attributes like speed or strength as anyone can be possess those skills at birth or through practice.
I don't get your second part as well.. Certain groups of people do indeed have physical features that is common in their ethnic group. I'll bring back the Montenegro example. Montenegrin are probably the tallest people in the world, it's a common trait for them. The people have on average different skull shape due to their environment, etc.
I guess it doesn't hold much meaning in life but so don't sports?(is that your argument?)

Yes, in the second part I am basically saying that even though they have different physical traits they don't really mean anything because their functions have become obsolete.
In sports you might find differences at those high levels, but they don't really apply to the population as a whole.

Whoah, I disagree with that completely. That is only true if you 100% base ethnicity on lineage alone.
My buddy sitting next to me right now has Turkish parents, but he is infinitely more Dutch than a child of Dutch immigrants who didn't grow up here will ever be. He has the ingrained communal understanding and values that you only get from growing up in a community.
