Thunder, Spurs, Knicks, Clippers, and Pacers are the only five teams in the NBA that have a legitimate shot at beating them, but I would still pick Miami to win a series against any of these teams.

Bosh hasn't proven much to me this year.

So it's pretty much Lebron and Wade. And in the playoffs, a smart coach like Popovich can come up with a good scheme to stop one or two players.

OKC and San Antonio have had much more balance this year and won't have such problems. So they can be the team to beat Miami.

Bosh better step the F up and do it soon.

No team stands a chance. In the playoffs (when they try) and not in the regular season (when they sometimes chill), the Heat would slaughter the Knicks or Pacers.

As for the Finals, OKC obviously got worse by downgrading their SG position, so if Miami destroyed them last year they will likely do the same this year. If San Antonio makes it, they'll put up a good fight but are simply overmatched by the Heat's superior talent.

All give Miami problems in recent years. Any of those teams plus San Antonio CAN beat Miami in a series. Would they? Most likely not due to Miami having the most unstoppable force in the league in Lebron, the fact that refs give them the benefit of the doubt more and Miami's finals experience in recent years. The wording was "can" though and all of these teams abuse Miami in the paint.

Get the hell out of here, the Heat only get 13 most free throws attempts despite having the league's top 2 slashers. LeBron leads the league in points in the paint and he only averages 6 ft's per game, since he's strong and the refs don't call the foul when he gets hit, if LeBron gets the call that the likes of Durant, Harden, Kobe receive then we can talk. :facepalm

San Antonio would likely trash them due to 3 point shooting. Indiana can beat them in the East, other than that I see no challenger. And OKC is a better team, they just got unlucky that Miami's role players shot lights out in the Finals.

Major roflmao at some of these posts. OKC? Please... those chumps got smashed in 5 games last year and then made their team worse. A two man team in Wade/LeBron took out Indiana last year... What are they gonna do now fully healthy? Ain't nobody touching this Heat team. Goin' for 3 straight finals appearances, back to back titles. Can't stop destiny.

I don't think they get Thunder level treatment from refs but vs the Clippers, Knicks and Grizzlies they would be winning the battle of the whistle most likely. BTW lol at anyone trying to say OKC. Miami is a terrible matchup for OKC and has crushed them the last 3 years.

The last 3 years? You mean when Durant, Westbrook, Harden, and Ibaka were 20 and 21 years old? And there's probably no way any of those guys are better now than they were even last year.

Besides, OKC split the season series with the Heat in 2011 and 2012. And if you meant the playoffs, fine; but you said the last 3 years, so I'm assuming you meant their regular season match-ups since LeBron and Bosh joined the team.

Maybe It's 2 years. Yes though the easily winning the playoff series is burned into our minds though. Miami struggles most with great frontcourts that can punish you inside and OKC is a perimeter team. They don't have any guys you have to worry about in the paint. Ibaka is a defensive force and his offense is very respectable now but you can't feed him in the deep post and get buckets.

No one can beat Miami at their peak at the moment. As good as OKC looked, I don't think they improved tremendously. The only way the Heat don't win is if LeBron is up to his shenigans again. Which probably won't happen anymore.

Grizzlies matchup well but are in the wrong conference and probably won't get that far. If they were in the East, it'd be interesting. It's geographically more accurate if they were.. they do so much travelling.. they are an East team playing in the West.. and their record against the East is strong.

The Heat are dodging a bullet now with the Celtics coming on. Their worst nightmare would have been to have to face Boston in Round 1, then have to go through both the Knicks and the Bulls in some order-- and then face either the Thunder or Spurs. That gauntlet might have been too tough for even Miami.

But who knows. It's really hard to repeat in the NBA. It's even harder to 3peat. Besides the Kobe & Shaq Lakers and Jordan Bulls, the last 3peat was the Celtics in the 60s.

Pacers IMO is the best bet, no one protects the paint like they do. To win the heat, you need to make them beat you out of the paint.

The worst matchup for the heat. I believe the 2 times they met this year, pacers hold the heat to their lowest totals.

I did another calculation to prove it to you.
with howard lakers conceded 87 points against the heat . IN 48 mins turns 101 points.
without hm 20 points against the heat ( 7 mins) . in 48 mins turns 138 points

Lakers were - 1 with howard in game, -9 without him. There was obvious difference, Howard was providing more in defensive end.Without him The heat were having fun in the game.
