Clearly he didn't, when Knight went to jump he slipped he was easily in front of his during the whole dribbling so no he didn't break anyones ankles. The guy slipped as Kyrie was shooting it when he was jumping up to contest.

When you try to jump and you can't because your feet are not in place that is getting your shit broke

Normally I agree with most your posts but this one we will have to agree to disagree on. I just feel like people are so thirsty to see ankles broken that even when its not they go overboard on it. He didn't stumble once when he was defending him while dribbling nor was he off balance it just when he went to jump he slipped. To often when a player slips before or after a move people call it an ankle breaker. Imo for it to be a ankle break the stumble/slip has to be during the move.

He dropped him on 2 straight plays and scored on him on like 3 in a row :oldlol:

Fair enough, I think he had no footing because of the ball handling before though  his hesitation is too nice.

Knight : "Okay, everyone back off. I got Kyrie on this one. Now come on boy, show me what you got"

*goes left-to-right-to-left-to-left-to-right.... falls down*

Knight: "That's was an aight move. You ain't cross me tho. I just slipped a little bit"

His moves are the best in the NBA no question I would never argue that

This is what I thought. I didn't understand why everyone went crazy. Knight clearly slipped when he went up for the block.

Game all in all was pretty boring. Shved's reverse and Faried's alley dunk were the only real highlights.

Irving is obviously a talented ball handler, but I don't think this was all that impressive. His foot slipped when he went to contest. I think a real ankle-breaker involves the defender moving clearly in the wrong direction and trying to correct it. Knight was on top of Irving the whole time.

If your body cant keep up with what you want it to do you got Mixtaped, I'm sorry.

That's like saying:

"I didn't get dunked on, I just didn't get proper footing to get high enough to contest the dunk."

You can tell who has never played basketball before

He slipped because he tried to jump and his footing was not there due to the moves that set up the jumper.

That doesn't appear to have happened here. It looks like his foot slipped on the court when he went to contest the shot. I think a good deke won't leave the defender falling towards towards the offensive player like that. Like, Tim Hardaway used to just freeze guys in place and go right around them.

I think Chris Webber was just looking for something exciting.

I don't think that's an ankle breaker. Seems like he just slipped and went too hard to contest the shot.

The play before it was an ankle breaker though...idk why they didn't focus on that one. Does someone have a video? Kyrie did him sick that first time!

its funny how often the defender "slips, or accidentally fell"

lets be real. They ARE FALLING because of them trying to defend the cross over. Whether he trips over his foot, on the floor, whatever. It doesnt matter, it was still caused by the defender trying to guard the cross over.

Translation:

It doesn't matter than Knight out performed Irving in a real game, because Knight fell down in the rookie game. OMG isn't it hilarious. He should be embarrassed to ever play the game of basketball again, clearly Kyrie has him totally outclassed.

It isn't fair, but its the truth. This clip will live on for years. No one cares if he hit a three in Irving's grill. The casual NBA fan takes the crossover 12 times out of 10.

that stepback is a BLATANT TRAVEL.. idk why the refs let guys like kyrie, harden, etc get away with it..

they pickup dribble, they plant a foot (1 step), then step back off that foot onto both feet (2steps) = 3 steps

pierce is the king of step backs and he always does them LEGIT AND RIGHT. plant foot, THEN PICKUP DRIBBLE, then stepback onto both feet = 2 steps . PIERCE DA STEPBACK GAWD. everyone else are cronies.
