I concur.
One of the laziest players in Sonics history. Drank a lot. Partied up at local colleges.

I don't like the one-year rule but how can you read a playbook if you can't read?
Seriously though, if you can't get the necessary SAT/ACT score you have bigger problems that need to be addressed. A very good chance someone that poorly educated gets taken advantage of by a crooked agent, business "partner" or whatever. I think if a team is willing to draft a guy he should be allowed to play but There are very few players for whom this is really an issue.

one year in college isn't gonna make a dumb basketball player smarter in life or on the court.
it starts earlier that that with parents and the right programs in and before highschool.
It depends on the players to figure out whats best for them by listening to the right people

Really? One year in college can do wonders for some or it might not help at all. You even say it depends on the players listening to the right people. Sometimes that starts in college. The NBA might be too advanced and stressful for some. Having a year college with coaches who are experts with youth can be beneficial.

I am sure she'll evict him from her cooter once he loses his house. It will be back on the market.

I remember him and I thought him and KD would flourish together but from my understanding, he's a project player. He was only drafted because he was a 7 footer.
He was just another one of those kids that was 7 foot tall and was influenced by And1 mixtapes. He could dunk and moved very well for a 7 footer.
Too bad things didn't pan out. He was on the rise till his injury.
Ever since I started getting into basketball (1991-1992), 7 footer projects have always been been existent in the league. Experts and fans alike would marvel at the "potential" this 7 footer one day will turn out like. He will block shots, be an offensive threat in the low block, be a great passer in the high post, be an anchor on defense, and his team will win countless championships.
Most of them do NOT pan out. Off the top of my head, I'd estimate 85% will NOT.

Surprised she didn't do that once he lost his spot in the Japanese league.

Surprised she wanted anything to do with him ever since he was not even in the L anymore.

I don't understand with all that money he could have paid off that house in no time.
It looks like a normal crib and not these extravagant cribs that you see other players with.

I can imagine the flat out ignorant stuff I'd have done getting 6 digit paychecks at 18 years old.

Is he dominating in the Japanese League? Miami might sign him in the off season.
