It had been a long time since I had watch the series. But ever since they started showing it on HBO again I have watched every night. I used to think The Wire was the best show ever made. But im leaning more towards The Sopranos now. I forgot just how good the acting and casting were.

It's awesome man. I'm gonna wait a year or two and watch the whole thing again.

I really need to watch the wire. I'm sure I can find it for free on the internet.

I still haven't watched this show. I know a guy who's a huge TV buff and likes the Sopranos better than The Wire. I've been wanting to watch it for ages but never had the time.

Breaking Bad

I finally watched the entire run of Breaking Bad after hearing for so long about how great it is. While it is a solid show, I don't even think it's the best show on its network.

The Sopranos is IMO the best television show ever. It's a notch above the Wire, even though season 4 might be the best season of TV I've personally watched. Boardwalk is creeping up the list too.

The Wire & Breaking Bad is better.

The quality of The Sopranos fell after season 3.

The last two seasons were awful. It was hard for me to finish the last season.

Walking Dead, Prison Break, are we serious here?

I don't consider Sopranos best ever, but it's certainly one of the best.

While it was clearly a downgrade in quality, season 5 was still very solid and better than most things on TV. No argument on season 6 though.

This. That being said, I've never anticipated an upcoming season as much as I have Breaking Bad's final 8 eps.

I'd very disappointed if I don't live to see them

Meh, I like The Wire a lot, but I have to give The Sopranos the edge. The characters are more interesting imo.

Season 5 is really underrated. People bitch because they introduce a ton of new characters but I think its great. Especially when Feech beats the s.hit out of that landscaper :oldlol:

The first ban was for making fun of people who felt bad for ClipperFan86. The other was for derailing a thread.

Oz is really good. But the last season is pretty bad. Especially the whole aging pill storyline.

Loved Omar White

I watched the episode I Dream of Jeanie Cusamano last night and I blew beer through my nose when Tony said after the failed attempt at his life, "cunnilingus and psychiatry has gotten us to this point!":oldlol:

It was such a shame that Nancy Marchand passed away because there still a lot of gold in that mother/son relationship mine.

They can't be, that is blasphemy.

Has anyone every watched season 2 of Prison Break? If so, my condolences

BB and the Wire were better IMO, but it's almost impossible to beat Sopranos in terms of TV characters. It was more stacked than GSW.

I started watching it again recently for the 4th time I think. I swear it gets better every time. So ridiculously well-written and layered. Most shows that rely solely on plot and are lacking in any interesting characters lose all their luster after the first viewing and they have no replay value.

Not this show though. :pimp:

Agreed. The Sopranos beats BB handidly in rewatchability. Once you know what you know, s4 loses a lot of its weight whereas The Sopranos never relied on plot points to make it great - it's truly the only 'real' character study in TV, and it may be the only show that is high art.

Yeah one of my college friends was a huge BB fan. Watched The Wire while he was applying for jobs. He loved it far more.

The season of the wire where the dude put the red ribbons on homeless people to get money ?

:facepalm

Terrible. Absolutely horrible.

Made the overall grade of the series go way down.

Sopranos > wire

I have yet to watch The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad. I haven't had the time in the past 6 months to really watch them.
