Listed height 6-8,
Listed weight 210 (basketball reference.com) and 215 (NBA.com)

Hand length: 10.5"
Hand spread: 11"

^--- bigger hands than MJ and Wilt

More specific NBA Rookie playing weight: (1969-70 Sports Illustrated) 219lbs

I'm willing to bet he is a legitimate ~6-8 without shoes give or take some fractions of an inch just based on the era he played in, but does anybody who hs read any of his books know what his wingspan is? Every source I've encountered that has listed specific playing weight or hand measurements has only vaguely stated that his wingspan was huge.

Definitely a freak of nature. Physique wise and skill wise.

I'll do a search on ProQuest tonight and see what turns up.

What other academic databases are good for sports stuff?

Not sure. NewsBank InfoWeb is the only other one I've used, but it's extremely limited in usefulness (especially if you're looking for box scores since they're almost always not in the database; ProQuest's historical archives consist mostly of PDFs of articles, while NewsBank contains the raw text). newspaperarchive.com is good too, but I don't think many universities have subscriptions (Paper of Record was good in its day as well, for research using old issues of The Sporting News).

I have a 10 inch handspan. They're not that long though. They're like chode hands.

Couldn't find a measurement. Around the 50th anniversary, a piece compared his wingspan to 'that of a condor'.

I found this image which might help approximate it though (1/27/73 Chicago Daily Defender) if the images you already have aren't enough (it's not great, but it could be worse):

Apologies that I couldn't be of more assistance.
