He needs 1,522 more points to take over the 10th spot. Will he do it?

He scored about 900 points last year, and is in the 900s right now with about 20 games left this season.

He has 2 more years on his contract, but I'm doubtful he plays it out.

"Can?" Yes. "Will?" No. He doesn't care about his scoring stats enough to chuck and at his current pace he needs 2 more seasons. Like you I don't think he's going to play that long.

Well, he is signed through the '15 season so if he plays out his contract he should get there, assuming good health...
