Easy choice for me but I'll leave my opinion out of it...who you got? (Please put dribbling rules into perspective, who knows what Cousy could of done with the ball if he could Carry the living shit out of it like Iverson for example)

Cousy was the better player, by a pretty decent margin.

Why can't we ever compare Rubio to black people?

Could you elaborate? Not doubting your opinions I'd just like to see people go into depth with their reasoning. If not though its fine I'm kind of dodging the whole issue not saying MY opinion :lol

6 rings
Never made the finals before Russell even with 3 all NBA first teamers...went I believe 6 of 20 and 2-20 in games 6 and 7 attempting to win first ring...luckily Russell and Heinson dominated...lost the year Russell got hurt in the finals....and they won 5 rings without him...having played their best the year after he retired.
I suspect Rubio could pull off winning on a team that won 5 rings without him. I also doubt he shoots 32% on three title runs and has a run in the playoffs going like 5-45 as Cousy did at one point(and I dont mean the 8-40 games 6 and 7 either).
Dude was a pioneer. But how he shot so poorly on teams running enough to score 120 a game is beyond me. He had to literally miss every shot that wasnt a layup....then a bunch of layups too.
I would not choose the 40s product pointguard. Just too different. Id take a 50s bigman. Same skills needed. A 40s point is a whole other story.
Bob Cousy was a center now and then believe it or not. At 6'1''. Very different time.

I've seen many of your posts before I'd love to hear your opinion on what players from the 40/50s era you think could play today....Guys like Mikan, Lovellette, Pettit, Schayes, Johnston etc.

Any player in this era would dominate in Cousy's era. And that is a fact

You're entitled to your opinion but since Cousy overlapped with guys like Russell, Chamberlain, Pettit, Baylor, West, Oscar etc I'm sure even a star like Dwight would get his shit rocked by the bigger names of back then. Not that he couldn't get his as well....probably get laughed at for Playing volley ball during a basketball game also
I think he forgets which sport hes playing at times

Not if they were born when Cousy was born. It wouldn't be a foregone conclusion.

I agree, who knows how he could have been if he had the advantage of playing today vs being a pioneer or vice versa.
Call me crazy, but if I had to choose between the 2 in a draft with an already decent team I'd pick Cousy JUST to give him a chance to prove himself. Too many people take a deuce on him without putting things into perspective....But, some knocks are legit

Another thing Cousy and Rubio have in common: terrible FG%.
