Not smart imo

Nobody would follow a stalker in real life.

That's why I think Lebron hired that guy to run on the court. It was a PR move to get Cleveland back on his side.

Major fail. you cant encourage crazy people to rush the court. the safety of players have got to be #1 priority. Dumb Shit LEBRON.

It would have been best if he never reacted to the situation at all

Ever since LeBron's collapse in the '11 finals his PR manager has been a super hero. While on the surface this may not see to be a good move, but this is brilliant from a PR standpoint. Seriously this looks is too good, it has to be staged.

Whether or not it's staged, LeBron pretty much encouraging the fan walking onto the court might get other people to do the same. You already know there really are crazies who are most likely envious that that kid got to meet LeBron in such a way... Now imagine what happens when they decide to do the same.

David Stern should take appropriate action to discourage this.

Fine LeBron a few 1000s of bucks.

absolutely not a conspiracy, i just think Lebron wants to win back Cleveland fans. He was signing a ton of autographs after the games and giving out a ton of high fives. Guess how often he did that as a cavalier?

lol @ how dumb people are on here. Why would Lebron pay a kid to run on the court so he could pat him on the head? totally random moment, and the kid got bailed out by a Cleveland Browns player not Lebron. This is still home for Lebron and he live here in summer so he wants to show good gestures. i agree with you 100%

Naw man read in between tha lines, its all for show, publicity, ratings, all part of David sterns plan to make Lebron look like a good guy:facepalm

Yeah, keep encouraging the weirdos.:applause: I guess Lebron wants to have his own "Monica Seles moment" on the court one day.

Monica Seles was stabbed in a tennis tournament in Germany in the 1990s where I imagine the security is vastly inferior to what we have here. I don't know if you've ever been to an NBA game or arena for any non-NBA related event. But they have metal detectors as well as pat downs for everyone.

And FYI the person who stabbed Monica was cleared of jail time after they ruled him to be mentally incompetent. If someone truly wanted to hurt Monica, LeBron, or any other high profile athlete, there's no need to attack them while they are on the court. You could get to them much easily in a public mall for an autograph signing or guest appearance.

Haters doing their jobs 24/7. Y'all are comedy.

"He did it on purpose."

"More people are going to do it, he's an idiot"

"(insert ridiculous David Stern conspiracy here)"

It's funny how all the salty people and the ones complaining about the situation are all Lebron and Kobe stans

In reality this just looks weird to me and I don't know what to say. Lebron reaction on the court was kinda expected to kinda funny in a way but him following on twitter...I don't what to say about that. It goes from irresponsible to just kinda bizarre in a way.

Solid Snake
03-22-2013, 11:53 AM
This was a dumb move by Lebron. You can't give ANY attention/props/encouragement to people like that. Then they'll feel like it "paid off," you have to completely humiliate people like that to discourage future occurrences from other people.

He was valedictorian of his HS and on his way to college degree. I think he'll have no problem getting a job in a different city - especially one with a low cost of living like Miami.

I guess he’s going to take all the love he can get from his home state, even the batshit crazy kind.

This guy wants to be loved so bad.

You can never go home Lebron......especially when you throw your home state team into a dungeon (after having stabbed them in the heart....in public).

Its all good, i just hope it doesnt come out as him condoning such acts, its generally not a big deal at all if some fan does that (unless the fans intention is black, very unlikely but whatever), but its against the statute so...

Miami is expensive to live in compared to Cleveland. He'll be the one to move to Miami though just to watch Lebron. Dude a lunatic lmao
