I hope this happens this season. I wanted it to happen last season but the Spurs disappeared against the Thunder in the WCF. I don't see that happening this season. Duncan is playing great, Parker was playing great before the ankle injury, the young guys on the Spurs have stepped up. I really think and hope we get a Spurs/Heat finals and I want the Spurs to win and Duncan to get his 5th title. It's crazy. I used to despise the Spurs. I found them incredibly boring. But this team the past 2 seasons is the complete opposite of boring. They've completely changed the way they've played and it's so fun to watch. Parker is very exciting to watch. It's amazing what Duncan is able to do at this stage of his career. The guy is playing like he's 30 years old again.

Except the Spurs won't get past the Thunder.

And the Thunder aren't beating the Heat. So blame OKC after the Heat repeat this year.

IT would be reversed when a young Lebron PLayed Duncan early in his career a Duncan and Company were in their Prime Easily Beating the Cavs. This time The Heat would do same to Spurs.

Honestly I could see that happening too and for the same reasons. The Spurs just know how to outlast a team in a 7 game series and I don't think it would be Miami choking as much as it would just be the more experienced and polished Spurs ultimately coming away with it.

I just don't think the Spurs will reach the finals

How could you find the Spurs boring? Even in their defensive days, they often ran up and down and played games in the 120's with the Suns, Mavericks, and Warriors. I'm sorry you don't know anything about basketball.

In any case, Manu and Parker are two of the most exciting players in the past 10 years. Manu with his passes... dunks... circus shots/layups... defensive prowess.. And Parker will his ability to get into the paint and finish over bigger defenders. And if you can't appreciate good defense and fundamental basketball...

Cmon man, Spo is underrated but not way is he in Pop's league. That's just a fact. What Pop is doing with bunch of old stars and no name role players is amazing, Spo has his defense, but the offense basically relies on Lebron more than anything.

You give Pop Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen, Battier and he will turn that into a dynasty.

Spo has that very team looking quite dynasty-esque himself. Not to mention a 27 game winning streak, which is quite the coaching feat.

He also had them looking very anti-dynasty-esque in 2011 Finals. :oldlol:

Spo has come a long way, but lets not act as if he had any other superstar instead of Lebron he could pull this off. James gives him the luxury of having a PG, Swingman and Power Forward on the court at the same time, who plays on both ends and covers up lot of holes.

It doesn't happen often because of the Conference Finals. I read somewhere that teams with homecourt only win the conference finals 50% of the time.

Pop is clearly the best coach in the NBA, but stop acting like Spo is a scrub coach being carried by stars. He's a very good coach that has come a long way, has a defensive philosophy, and has helped create a very efficient offense. He's managed to help everyone control their egos and play as a team, which is one of the biggest reasons they are the best team in the league.

We can talk matchups, but obviously the guy saying Spo is better than Pop is trolling.

Popovich
Thibodeau

Carlisle
Rivers
Karl
Aldeman

And if either of the Van Gundy brothers resurface, you can lump them right in that group.
