Will Dwight Howard make the Hall of Fame?

I fear he will, which is just wrong. But he may end up with a ring or two, thus making it. He shouldn't though. Unless he does a U-turn with his attitude and stays that way for the next decade.

A three time consecutive DPOY making the HOF is wrong? GTFO.

Also... was robbed last year because of his idiotic drama... Tyson Chandler... LMFAO.

He hasn't earned it yet but if he can maintain his normal level into his 30s he will.

If reggie miller can make it I am sure Dwight will make it in.

Seems that way.

I'm just glad the Horry HoF threads have died down.

I'm not in favor of putting guys in the HOF who actually don't care about the sport enough. I know Vince Carter is going to make it on his dunks alone, but I don't like the idea. I'd much rather see Iverson there (he will make it, too), whose game I didn't really like, but he did put in effort.

Yes, I'm guilty. I don't like Dwight Howard. Never have. Probably never will, unless one of us changes big time. I'm a lot older than him, so it's more likely he is the one to change for that to happen. BTW, it's rather irrelevant. I really doubt he would like me if he knew me, so it is mutual.

There were. 2-3 years ago the popular argument was having him in the top 3. Some extremists even said he is the second best player in the NBA after LeBron. And some said Dwight is the one they would choose to build a franchise around. (Yes, ahead of LeBron.)

It has died down this year, but look up some older threads and you will be amazed.

He's currently an 18/13 player with 5 All-NBA 1st teams, 4 All-Defensive 1st teams, and 3 DPOY's(and consecutive at that). He also finished top 5 for MVP 4 times(including runner up in 2011). He's going to the HOF.

Why would this need to be argued? Anyone who thinks he won't make the HoF has no idea about talent.

Let us know when Dwight is involved in a steroid scandal and has a childhood friend cover his ass.

According to basketball reference Dwight has a 80% chance to get in

I'll say one thing. If Carmelo Anthony makes it then the floodgates will open. Derek Fisher, Michael Cooper, Robert Horry, Kenny Smith, Horace Grant, Steve Kerr should all be in.

Dwight Howard will make it, he anchored a Finals team with players nobody wanted, he's gonna have at least 5 DPOY awards, a bunch of top 5 MVP votes, he's an ATG.

.. he was the best player after Lebrom

Assuming he hit 20,000 points, and 10,000 rebounds, why shouldn't he as a 3 time DPOY. Leader of a finals team, was at one point the second best player in the league. The only two ways he doesn't get in is injuries, or a stereroid scandal, just like the rest of the Magic finals team...

Heck yeah. This is simple. This season the dude is really pissing alot of people off. But we all know this dude can play and what he can do. He is a HOF without a doubt.

I wouldn't need to look it up, Top 3 doesn't sound crazy at all.

I know about the Howard over LeBron to build a franchise around, it's just perception base that you build around a center over a perimeter player.

I know I'm in the minority, but I've so far never had Howard in high esteem. He hasn't done anything recently to change my opinion. I don't think he ever was top 5. He was top 10 though, which still is great. But top 2 and starting a franchise with him over LeBron... He is not that good. He is physically talented and nothing else.

I agree he will be in the HOF. I just don't like the idea.

Let's see what he does tonight. Must win game, at home, against a scrubby front court. Howard should DOMINATE the game tonight.

If he retired now?He probably would. But I doubt he retired now and I bet he has at least 5 more years of playing ball. And that will get him some more accolades.

So I imagine he will be in the Hall of Fame.

And not sure why people think everyone gets in the Hall. There are many players that do not make it. Many players. But we don't talk about the Brian Scalabrine/Adam Morrison/Vanulous Spanoulous's of the world who have ZERO chance to make the Hall.

So the perception that everyone makes it is off.

Yep I agree. At his best, he was putting up 23 points and 14 rebounds a night. And of course he's a three time defensive player of the year. And he has many All Star games, All NBA teams, and All Defensive teams on his resume.
