I believe it's true. Put him on any NBA team right now and they are instant contenders. Lebron James is just unbelievable. He is the only player in the league we can say this about.

Sure, if by contenders you mean having at least a 10^-100 chance of winning the title. Nobody makes the Charlotte Bobcats a contender by themselves.

I believe even if he is on the Bobcats, they are contenders. They will be like previous Cavs team. But the Lebron version is even better. The chances won't be as good as the Heat, but they are still contenders.

Nah man. The Cavs were built for Lebron to be an ultimate one man army. Elite team defense, solid spot up shooting, Mo Williams to help create shots and play off ball. All those things let a worse Lebron lead the Cavs to a better record than the Heat with Lebron. Bobcats have very little quality to surrond Lebron with. Kemba is redundant, they are poor defensively, just nothing for Lebron to work with. They are nowhere near the Cavs with Lebron.

A contender to make the playoffs? Yes, everyone but maybe the Bobcats; and even then, given how awful the East is, it wouldn't surprise me if he could have them flirting with the 8-seed. But there's at least a handful teams that wouldn't just instantly be championship contenders with LeBron.

Championship contenders. Even worst case scenario Bobcats I believe he will raise them to Cavs level, who even though did not win, was a 55+ wins contender.
He would raise Kemba Walker to the level of wade, tyrus Thomas to Bosh, and others will be great role players and just have to shoot the ball well.

The Heat didn't just become relevant in 2010. They've been a pretty good franchise over the years. They have a pretty good franchise and fanbase. It's just easy to call the best team's fanbase a bandwagon fan base at the time. When a team like OKC is the best in a couple of years, people will say the same thing about their fanbase.

As someone said, Lebron turns any team into a 50+ team. That is pretty close to or being a contender. If there is another legit star on that team = contenders. He has 2 now in Heat, and they are squashing the entire league. I'd imagine 1 would be enough to be a contender.

Lebron is able to befriend his enemies and spread peace and love around the world, that is why he is the hero ISH deserves, but not the one that it needs right now.

DAT MATH.
I don't recall. Gotta look up all those individual debates. One that comes to mind is when Metta bailed Kobe out in 2010 similar to how Wade bailed out Bron.

As good as Lebron is I doubt he would reverse any team into a contender. He is playing on stacked roster.

I believe even if he is on the Bobcats, they are contenders. They will be like previous Cavs team. But the Lebron version is even better. The chances won't be as good as the Heat, but they are still contenders.
Some dude on ESPN posted an article (but I don't have insider) about how LeBron isn't at his best now, despite what people think. And I agree. I think he was better before. Like 08-10. People talk about the percentage difference, but if you take into account the fact that he was on teams where he was the only player who could create his shot, you realize how amazingly he was playing.
Does Bron make any team a contender? No. Nobody does. Role players have to be seasoned to be a contender. But he could make them a 50 win team, easily.

That's horse shit. Put him on the Bobcats or Phoenix and they're lucky to make the playoffs.

Cleveland in 08 were pretty decent, they won 66 games and had good support crew.
Lebron put up the white flag against the Cs that year.

Yeah Lebron on the Suns or Charlotte would be happy to get out of the 2nd round.
Put him on the Lakers and may actually make the playoffs.

Lebron himself on some teams won't make them instant contenders, but they will be in the playoffs. which is why Kobe with this Lakers team is the most embarassing to happen since the Heat lost to the Mavs.
what would also happen is that if Lebron joins any team, that team would instantly attract better players therefore making them contenders. for example, the Bobcats as is, even with Lebron would not be contenders. but Lebron's arrival would allow the team to attract better players that would make them contenders.

1) Get off Kobe's dick you have some serious issues.
2) Have you ever heard of the salary cap?

Even as a long time Heat and Lebron hater, this statement is true. No one has his combination of skills, shooting, defense, and play making abilities. As great as Durant is, he's one dimensional compared to Lebron.
This is something you could have never said about Kobe. All he is... Is a scorer. He doesn't make his teammates better.

Its perceived as stacked because of how good Lebron is. Also, its also based on his years with the Cavs. People overrate the hell out of his teammates to undermine his impact. Outside of Bosh and Wade, the team is filled with serviceable players.
oh the horror

Yes exactly why he is a little bitch for joining 2 of the top 15 players at the time.
Bosh top fifteen? Maybe. Top 25 for sure, prob 20. 15? I'd have to map it out. He's been playing very well in the last two months.

I think Mario Chalmers and Ray Allen are more than serviceable.

That would explain why before joining the Miami heat he has only beaten 1 team in the playoffs with a record over .500. Don't let his success in the travesty of a conference called the "eastern conference" fool you.

Also with the artillery he has around him now. People are clearly allowing the context become a bit cloudy.
Lebron is a fantastic player but this shit of puttin him on any team and suddenly they're contenders? Really?
He has dominated the way he has because guarding a healthy Heat team is impossible. They overwhelm with their talent.

Yip...they dont even realize that all 3 of them have inflated efficiency...none of the big 3 in MIA are shooting lower than 52%. None of them get double often, and they all get lots of easy buckets off of each other and the floor spacing due to the 3 pt shooting of chalmers and ray allen etc. James impact on the game couldnt be any more overstated than it is right now. When you watch heat games you just see easy basket after easy basket because of what you said "overwhelming" talent.

Yeah it's perceived as stacked because Lebron is great, Wade is great, and Bosh is one of the best bigs in the league by far, and a great versatile offensive big.
And yes everyone else is serviceable, but quite serviceable around 3 All Star starters. 2 All Star starters signed before he made "The Decision" so he joined them. 1 of them was a NBA Finals MVP and seen as Lebron's chief rival as best player in the World. In other words...STACKED.

Well I didn't know that, but regardless of the their records, the teams he's beaten in the playoffs haven't great. The Pistons that year in 07 were done and just hanging on for dear life. They had turned from a defensive team to an offensive team that really was just an above average defense under Flip. But overall that was the easiest path to the Finals in NBA History...and by far.
The East is just now catching up to the West, and it's taken quite a big step this year from what it used to be.

The east hasn't caught up the west though, and i'd say it hasnt improved. THe east is worse this year than last... their are only 3 serious teams in the east this year. MIA, Pacers, Knicks, and it pains me to say that, because I'm a celtic, the east is trash. The West is by far the better conference with better parity.

Since signing BIRDMAN they have only lost like 2 games.
