This is such BS! All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I've done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the hell did this happen ?!? Makes no damn sense. Now I'm supposed to come back from this and be the same player Or better at 35?!? How in the world am I supposed to do that??
I have NO CLUE. Do I have the consistent will to overcome this thing? Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that
was. Maybe this is how my book
ends. Maybe Father Time has defeated me...Then again maybe not! It's 3:30am, my foot feels like dead weight, my head is spinning from the pain meds and I'm wide awake. Forgive my Venting but what's the purpose of social media if I won't bring it to you Real No Image?? Feels good to vent, let it out. To feel as if THIS is the WORST thing EVER! Because After ALL the venting, a real perspective sets in. There are far greater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever.
One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day.
"If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer.
I know it's a long post but I'm Facebook Venting LOL. Maybe now I can actually get some sleep and be excited for surgery tomorrow. First step of a new challenge.
Guess I will be Coach Vino the rest of this season. I have faith in my teammates. They will come thru.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. Much Love Always.

He's been a media whore giving quote after quote, and tweet after tweet as if he's creating a biography building up his legacy this year.

Kinda annoying. Still hate this happened to him or anyone.

Building up his legacy for what though? I think the dude is literally venting outward trying to find some traction in the abyss.

Imagine you suffer this type of injury and it's severe and at the tail end of your career?

There is more to being a writer than mastering the English language....

There is also conveying real emotions and speaking from the heart. And timing and cadence and flow to your thoughts. And logical progression.

Kobe seems to possess some of the latter

if that quote is right "If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear", thats hilarious. It its supposed to be pray for the bear, then its just lame and really ignorant.

Did Kobe write in third person? I think it's sad. I feel for Kobe and I am not really into Kobe or his antics. It sucks to see him go out like this though.

I agree with you, but this isn't free form poetry or something artistic. Kobe just can't write.

Mentality of a competitor. The game will not be the same after he leaves. KD does not have the leadership mentality and Lebron will not be as good after his athleticism fades.

We might not see another Kobe ever again.

Right now. Michael Jordan can dish out essays while Kobe'd be thinking about it and making faces.

Of course he's mad. He's a competitor that just had a severe injury. Wtf?

As a Kobe hater I was quite UNhappy to see him get hurt. As much as I dislike him I admire his drive/competitiveness. He's put more more into the game than almost anyone else EVER and for that reason alone he deserves to be in there still.

Are you kidding?

Kobe's writing possesses none of this, save for the ability to express genuine emotion.

Still, it's a damn shame that this titan of the game has finally fallen. I wish him well.

:confusedshrug: Are people really expecting writing masterpieces? I mean, he's hopped up on pain meds, it's 3 AM, his concentration definitely isn't on his writing and he's on an emotional high. I'm surprised at how many people are randomly mentioning that his writing sucks.

It's good to see that he did not succumb to the current illiterate twitter English.
