It really sucks that Rose isn't out there yet. He's been cleared for more than a month now.

Wall, Rubio, and Shumpert already played this season.

Wall, Rubio, and Shumpert already played this season.

Those aren't fair comparisons though.

Wall didn't have as serious of an injury, and the other two don't rely on so much explosive athleticism and carry the kind of load/expectations Rose does.

I can see where his paranoia is coming from.

Michael Jordan broke his foot in 1985. He still played againts the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.

I'm far from a D. Rose fanboy, but cut the guy some slack. He's got his whole career in front of him and they're not beating the Heat this year with or without him. If I'm a Bulls fan I support him sitting out if he thinks he's not 100%. Its not like he has a history of sitting for weak ass injuries (i.e. Eric Gordon).

Only on ISH where a player can get called out for not returning from a serious knee injury...:facepalm The guy is no Eric Gordon

I didnt see Rose getting wheelchaired off the court for an arm injury like Wade did  I find it hilarious that a guy gets criticised for this, yet Lebron and Wade have shown far better examples of weakmindedness throughout their career :lol

D rose said he wont come back until he can explode like he used to, but how are you going to get that conditioning back to what it was with practice? I can shoot and like light all i want, doesnt mean my conditioning and going to be there. He needs all that back before he can be explosive, good luck with that chicago

Yeah I'm mad, it's a player in the team that I follow. I'm also a little confused as to why so much hate and criticism he is getting for something no one really knows what is going on. Sure, criticise him for ballhogging, being a bad locker room player or raping girls off the court, partying all night before games, but criticising how long he's taking to come back from a serious knee injury? That is unfair and just plain stupid. He hasn't got a track history of saying stupid comments or putting his team under the bus or anything like that.

It's a funny meme for giggles and all, but comparing injuries is pretty ridiculous unless you have the x-rays in front of you. How are we to know which was the more severe?

What's the average recovery period for a broken foot anyway?

Spurs have a chance of winning it all.

Bulls have zero chance.

Key difference between teams so why would Rose risk anything?

I think Rose is afraid of criticism he would get when he comes back to the court. Maybe even afraid of off-night games he could bring. He just doesn't have self confidence to come back.

He's going to be back at the playoffs, probably playing limited minutes behind the starter while he gets his confidence back. You'll see....

its funny you mentioned wade. he separated his shoulder in the worst way. he needed surgery right away, but that would put him out of the season for good. against the advice of his doctors he decided to rehab it instead, and put off surgery til after the season. people warned him that he could risk it getting worse and jeopardizing his career. but he played anyway. didnt get very far, but at least he showed heart and guts. oh, and he also played on a bum knee that needed surgery too.

I don't know how he can justify not taking a shot at it. With him, the Bulls would be the favorites against the Nets, and then even if you can't beat the Heat, if you just wear them down enough that somebody else stops them in one of the next two rounds, I think most Bulls fans would consider that to be a victory.
