Milwaukee, WI -
The Heat take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. While the Heat are the favorites to win the their second consecutive NBA championship, one NBA player doesn't agree.

Bucks guard Brandon Jennings stating "We're gonna win six" on Thursday, this according to the Bucks official twitter handle. Jennings also added "Fear the deer."

The Heat are 3-1 against the Bucks this season. Jennings averaging 24 points per game in those four games vs the Heat. With the best record in the NBA (66-16). Miami has home court advantage throughout their entire postseason run. Game 1 between the Bucks and Heat tips off at 7 PM Sunday on TNT.

Saying tthis is a worthwhile gamble. If he's wrong we laugh for a day or two and forget it amidst the excitement of the rest of the playoffs. In the unlikely event that he's right however, he's pulled a Namath.

If you go into a series thinking you cant win you dont belong in the NBA. Confidence is often unlikely....but its never wrong to have.

If it does anything to motivate his guys....good for him. If hes wrong hes wrong. I respect it more than someone going through the motions expecting to be home in a week.

Good on Jennings for stepping up like a leader. It's not impossible for them to win the series but they are going to need to get every single ounce of energy and luck to do it.

I think most players say something like, "I expect it to be a hard fought series and I hope we come out on top, I'll give everything."

But I like what he said, it puts some electricity in the air to the game.

Except they have literally no chance since the NBA wouldn't let them go further than the Heat. Remember the Pacers or Celtics series last year? No matter how close it seemed, they had no chance

The Heat won last year because James played great ball, not a few calls that some thought should have gone the other way.

Exactly.

I don't know why this is news-worthy. Do you guys expect him to say that they'll lose to the Heat in 6? If he did, that that's news-worthy... not this.

Bucks will not even come within 10 points in any of the Heat victories...thats what I predict.

People don't understand we are witnessing the second coming of the early 2000's Lakers. That's how dominant this Heat team is gonna be.

Yes, and the Lakers won't make the playoffs either.

""Bucks guard Brandon Jennings stating "We're gonna win six" on Thursday, this according to the Bucks official twitter handle. Jennings also added "Fear the deer.""

Gonna be hard for his prediction to come true, since the first team to win 4 wins the series....

Most likely, Miami stomps the Bucks in 4 or 5 games, but still.

well, jennings plays well aganist the heat,it's all up to monta ellis to figure out how to deal with wade to make this series just competitive.

but let's not get away here, heat will finish the job easily, either a sweep or in 5 games.

Hard to see them winning in Miami. That's the problem. But hey, who knows. haha.

I personally believe sayings like this aren't as great as you guy think ( even tho I'm a huge Jennings fan.) I would prefer to say something like the 2013 Miami Heat are going to be having nightmares about us soon. Or something like that... more creative.

Saying we're gonna win... and especially picking the game amount is bad because once winning in 6 becomes impossible, you may even still be in the series.
