View Full Version : Who will have the best crowd in R1
Will OKC's crowd be just as memorable if theyre the perennial favorites to take the West this year?

Yes, Laker crowds are so sick in the playoffs that I've had friends who sat in the 200s being told that they are cheering too loud and to calm down a bit :facepalm

It will never be as loud as the Dallas series though. I was in awe with that crowd.

I've only been to one PO in 5 years or so (last year's Game 5 vs Nugs) and there were no such f@ggots. They definitely exist during the regular season, though

Brett yormark did say that for the first game it's going be a total black out. Black shirts will be waiting at everyone's seats as well as vendors selling black soda, cupcakes, popcorn and candy ALL BLACK. Then for the second game it might be a whiteout.

Really? Email i received said MAKE SURE TO WEAR YOUR BLACK SHIRT TO THE ARENA. The first thing i thought was "why aren't they giving shirts?" Very smart. :applause:
Arena is going to look empty in upper decks on tv with the lighting and the black shirts. :lol
MSG briefly experienced some energy with Linsantiy and went back normalcy. MSG is not what it use to be.
MSG was just fine this year. Nice of you to pull that from the air. It was also just fine last year at the end of the year with Lin out.
And MSG isn't going to give out shirts because we don't need to all wear the same shirts. Are we a college crowd? We don't need to wear the same shirts, we don't need cues that say "chant this now" and we are well aware which team is the home team.
One thing i can say vs. 5/10 years ago at every arena, the road team will have larger fan contingents than back then. They always so.

Just noticed that, Whiteout is stupid. Miami does that. It's the silliest least intimidating thing in the world. Stick to black. Call Brett.

That's amazing how the announcers did bot speak once during that crazy frenzy. It was also funny how crowd went completely quiet after foul was called. It sounded as of their were 40,000 fans instead of 20,000

Matching shirts or not they do not come close to bringing the same energy as OKC/GSW fans.

Brooklyn did win. Nice to see that so many other posters agree. However, I hate the manufactured piped in "Brooklyn" chant that urges the fans to chant "Brooklyn". Let the damn fans start the chant on their own. Also, I thought the fourth quarter was a little bit weak but that's due to the Nets being up by 20. If it was a close game, basket for basket, the roof would have collapsed.

MSG was great too but lack of rhythm and somewhat of a stagnant offense threw the crowd off, although their late effort kept them afloat. This was Brooklyn's night. There was no way to spoil our first playoff game.

The only thing I didn't like was the "blackout". Way too dark for my taste.
Also they need to stop with that artificial Brooklyn chant. Let the fans start the chant by themselves.
Even though MSG crowd didn't all wear the same color it looked much nicer IMO. Some orange, some blue and other colors,it looked more lively.

There is no one that dislike the manufactured "Brooklyn" chant as much as I do. I have repeatedly criticized Billy King, Brett Yormark and BrooklynNets twitter account to stress how horrific it is to force the fans to chant. They are competent and passionate enough to do so on their own. Please stop piping in a damn recording.
