I'm a Knicks fan and Carmelo is my current fav player.

However, I would have to be stupid to say Carmelo is even on LBJ's Level. I say that to say this....

Stop lying to yourselves guys. This dude is the best in the business... point blank period. Nobody else is in the discussion for best in the biz.

He is the only player I can see giving MJ a legit run for the GOAT by the time his he done.

Lets be honest, though, it must be nice having a top 3 PG, best shotblocker and best 6th man(top 3-4 SG) in the league, and oh, one of the better perimeter defenders in the league in Sefolosha. Yea, I'm talking about Durant in the last year's Finals. But for him it wasn't ''too easy'' last year right?

Of course not. I just hate it when people on here are suggesting how ''easy'' it must be for Lebron cuz he's having such a stacked team. I'm not saying his team is not stacked, though. I'm just saying that last year OKC was (almost) equally as ''stacked'' and by majority of basketball fans was seen as the favourite to win it all. But I really doubt that we would hear that Durant had it ''to easy'' had he won last year. He had Harden aswell, and this year is a clear proof what kind of potential he actually had/has.

I was going to post something similar to this. People hold LeBron to a higher standard than everyone else, and it's very unfair at times. If Durant won on that stacked team, nobody would have said he was carried or he was on a stacked team. I mean they have Westbrook, Thabo, Ibaka, and then they had Harden coming off the bench. That team was loaded.

Yeah, Phil Jackson asked Kobe to carry more of the offensive load with key players out. That's the month he scored 4 straight 50 point games, along with the 2 60+ vs Memphis and Portland.

It is a little inflated.. but not by enough to make any difference. Its still retardedly high. Lebron is so good at running an offense right now that you rarely even see him take bailout shots. Its good shots almost everytime.

Bron would be doing this on any average or above average team. Put him on Brooklyn or NY or Clippers or Grizzlies or Nuggets or Warriors etc. and hed still be doing this. It doesnt really matter that Wade and Bosh are alongside him all that much. Any competant all star replacement would fill in exactly the same.

A lot of players would indeed shoot 70% if they were able to:

1. Get to the basket as much as Lebron

2. Finish at the rim with his efficiency (and many of the best drivers - Westbrook, Rose, Irving, Rondo - can't even come close to that efficiency near the rim because they are 6 to 8 inches shorter than Lebron)

3. Force players to sag off of him due to the above two points, giving him many wide open jumpers

4. Be an above average to good jump shooter like Lebron is now

The problem is, Lebron is the only player in the league with the above four traits.

U mad?

El O El. He'll give you guys the business in the ECF. Would love to see Melo average 30 on LeBron...Won't Happen.

At least 25-30 FGA is what you usually expect from Carmelo each game, he has lately started to hoist the ball up like there is no tomorrow.... he doesnt pass the ball much either... he will take those shots even if none of them go in.... because he is a 110% strict scorer, shoot first guy..... he is kindof like Kobe in that aspect...

I mean even if he shoots 10 of 30 (33%), thats still around 20-30 points depending on how many 3s he hit.... then you add the freethrows he will make/take and we are talking about at least 30 points.....

He might easily average 30 ppg against Lebron (or anybody in NBA history).... but it wont come so efficiently :D

I've been saying that since the end of the season. I also believe he is the first to lead the league in "points in the paint" and make 40% with at least one made 3 pointer per game. But I admit I didn't prove it.

OK, even if this were completely true and Lebron were just scoring on layups and dunks (clearly not true; 57% from deep? 40% on the year from the arc?), how is that a knock on him? He's getting good shots and making them.

OK, even if this were completely true and Lebron were just scoring on layups and dunks (clearly not true; 57% from deep? 40% on the year from the arc?), how is that a knock on him? He's getting good shots and making them.

The haters needs to watch more games.

dropping 40+ in a month ≠ dropping 40+ average for a month

are you that stupid

He did average 40+ for a full month in March of 07....40/6/4.5 on 46% FG (30 FGA/game)

And 40+ in January and April of 06....

I read a stat on the screen during yesterday's game: LeBron is the first player in NBA history to shoot 56% for the season on more than 100+ 3 pointers made.  LeGOAT.

ESPN Stats & Info ‏@ESPNStatsInfo

LeBron James: 13th career playoff game with at least 25 pts, 10 rebounds, 8 assists - most all-time, 2nd place is Oscar Robertson with 10.
