I like Thor's comedic timing, but hated so much of the stuff that took place outside of Earth, which scares me because this movie looks like it takes place away from Earth most of the time.

Much better than Thor 1. Better than Iron Man 3 and much better than Man of Steel, since I thought both were disappointing.
