However, her chosen profession is one that is highly based on impressive aesthetics and athletic ability. Therefore if she doesn't meet up to the standards then I see no reason why OKC has any obligation to keep paying her.

People expect cheerleaders to be attractive as well as talented. I don't see it as being discriminatory against fat people at all. If I go to see a serious movie about the Napoleonic Wars then I don't get mad if I find out that Jim Carrey or Kevin Hart got rejected for the lead role and someone more suited for the job got it instead. Same logic applies here.
