Everyone can bash LeBron's game five, but no championship team should crumble that badly if their star player doesn't have it. That Cavs team was completely exposed during that series.

People really don't give Boston enough credit for that. They moved on and dispatched Orlando (another 60 win team) even easier than they did Cleveland.

'00 and '01 were Shaq at his absolute best, more focused from start to finish in 2000, but those 2 years were his best mix of physical dominance, skills and knowledge. I think '02 can be put in there, he was heavier and had more nagging injuries, but with the new defensive rules, the fact he made his free throws at 65% during the playoffs and his impact at both ends, I think he was still close.

Then vs Utah after a poor game 1 when it was a huge blowout, he was in dominant form the next 3 games, and kept playing until the final buzzer even when the rest of his team had crumbled and appeared to have quit. Ultimately, the highest I can give him is a 9 though because he failed to win with the most talented team in the league, and at least some of that seemed to be due to his leadership being inferior to the 3peat.

I took some points away for injuries and poor playoff performances by his standard. If you have any questions about my rankings for particular years, feel free to ask.
