Its only laggy if your connection sucks or in some cases you're in a party and the hosts are from another part of the country. I normally get 4 bars but 3 bars when I party up with a buddy from Cali and he is the party leader. You're usually thrown in matches where people from the party leaders side of town are in.

Blops is too quick for my liking though, Uncharted involves way more strategy (like sneaking around for a melee attack etc.)

It's become the norm for people to have higher spec computers compared to 5-6 years ago. Why didn't you check out the minimum and recommended specs for the game and check them against your PC specs first?

downloading the game as we speak. came across ign's review and i like what i saw. i don't give a shiet about reviews or scores, but i try to listen to what is new or have been implemented.

the campaign looks pretty good and has peaked my interest into playing - which i haven't played a cod campaign since mw2. the maps looks bigger but more importantly less traditional than previous cod maps. what sold me was extinction. gobb, how is it? they said its not like zombies more like l4d in which that sold me lol.

i rarely played anything this year, so maybe this game will get my gaming mojo back. bf4 looks cool, but its just not my thing.

I am loving this game. Haven't played the COD franchise since the first Black Ops, and Ghosts has so much more replay value than all the others. The beginning of Story Mode was mind blowing visually, looks promising. Extinction in itself makes me glad I bought the game. Squads is also a fun mode, definitely something I will use to improve and perhaps warmup before an online session. The multiplayer modes run smooth as hell for me, except when assholes start rage quitting.

First impression is that Infinity Ward brought the fun back with this game. Visually it could be better, of course. And the map sizes are bigger, but somehow it seems to work because of the how much better the spawning is as a result. Have not had an issue with people constantly spawning behind me or near me, which was a major issue I had with Call of Duty.

A lot of bad reviews, but let's face it, they're mostly coming from those who are anxious to knock every COD game(but still play it) or those who perhaps are burned out after buying it every year.

I recommend taking a break for a year or two with games like Madden and Call of Duty. I do that and appreciate them much more when I do buy one.

Best way to go, skipping one or two.

I am going with the PS4 as soon as they're available again. I am done with Microsoft, and I really am excited for the Killzone franchise, and that sweet ass dualshock 4 controller...that thing is absolutely perfect. Xbox has a strong list of launch games compared to the PS4, but Sony has always been slow starters when it comes to games. And I expect Xbox to keep steering their games in the camera(kinect) direction. Why else would they make you buy it? No interest in those stupid cameras.

so far i am liking it. this feels more of a successor to blops 1. hated blops 2 because of the shitty map design. maps in ghosts are pretty good. i like how you can unlock whatever u want from early; but squad points are fukkin hard to come by - at least for me.

playing on pc is way different than console. i play with my ps3 controller and i can never win a shootout if the person who is good with a mouse keyboard :(

The point you are missing is, people don't play COD for the OMG amazing Graphicz. The game doesn't change controls, stick to the smoothness of the franchise and the customization that was introduced in COD4 that everybody loves

The processor is one of the things they upgraded somewhere along the line, hence the word upgrade.

Saying it's an upgrade (over many, many generations) of the Quake 3 engine is fanboy nonsense. Might as well say it's an upgrade of the Quake 1 engine. We are talking many, many iterations ago, there is nothing direct about it.

Anyway, the COD developers dont use the quake engine because they are lazy, they use it because its a great engine for a fast and twitchy first person shooter.

The Quake engine is older than that, it's from the mid 90s. But that doesn't mean shit, because they aren't using that engine. They are using a continuously redeveloped proprietary engine that at one point in time used the Quake engine as a starting poitn. Just like DICE isn't using the shitty Frostbite 1 engine.

I have only put enough time in to be a level 14, but so far the new perk system is greatness.

Killstreaks are not worth it in this game. Been running Specialist, and its a good fit.

Any 360 players here wanna get some games in, add cloud shadows. I am a major noob in this game still, but once I can afford(COD points) the setups I want and get a feel for the pace and maps....it will be on.

I'm with GOBB though, the game isn't great. For me anyway, just feels exactly like MW3 with slightly better hit detection. The few maps I played on had no flow, didn't like them. I'll give it more time, but not that impressed really.

The class is virtually unstoppable, although the bullet damage in the game combined with the spawn points make it very frustrating. I can hold around a 3.0 K-D ratio, but I never lose a face to face battle. It's always getting shot from behind by someone that spawned 20 yards back while I was running away.

Also the killstreaks suck dick.

Trinity Rockets can be useful at times, but more often than not I can't get a kill with the first 2 that break off.

Gryphon is cool, but it gets shot down in no time if your opponents have a brain

The dog is worthless until you die and it gives away your position

Sentry Gun doesn't even fire the majority of the time since it can be seen on the minimap and people avoid the area. Plus there is a delay in its reaction time.

Maniac is decent I guess, but if you're in a group of 2-3 you're dying.

Regular Juggernaut is total trash. Not being able to heal combined with slow reaction times=4-5 kills max before you're gunned down

Heli Pilot would be excellent but the controls suck dick for piloting the chopper and you end up spinning around trying to get an angle to shoot the enemies half of the time

If someone weaves and maximizes cover, they can virtually avoid the small rods from the Loki which is 90% of its ability.

Black ops was shit. I agree with you Tyler, people love to praise for the "balance" but fail to point how boring the game was. If there's one thing I disagree is the ranking of WaW, thats shit is right up there next to Black Ops 1

MW1 was the GOAT when it came out.

I am still playing BO2. I love the graphics, weapons, maps, pointstreaks are really awesome ( Dragonfire FTW) and the perks.

black ops is still my favorite. it had the best maps imo. i didn't play mw1 online but i still feel like it had the best campaign. i fukking hate mw2 with a passion. the only thing i enjoyed was spec ops. i really like ghosts, tho. the killstreaks sucks and most of the guns suck as well. but i like most of the maps except for storm front. blops 2 felt more like an iw game where as ghosts feels like a treyarch.

Been playing it one the Xbox One for like a week. It's alright. Sucks only a few of my friends have the console. :lol Out of like the 20 games I've played, I've only had a positive K/D once. I do love the maps though. Ground war is awesome cause the maps are huge. Also, I haven't seen a lot of camping. There really aren't spots on the maps where you don't have to worry about what's behind you. Well unless you have an IMS or something protecting you.

a new engine won't ever change the fact that this game is cartered to the "casual" gamers now. Everything will be made easy, fancy kill streaks, small maps, guns with lower recoil etc... Is this game even going to be released on the PC cause theres no information on that which i find sad because if it wasn't for the PC gamers cod would have never been what it is today.

Hate to break it to you, but FPS games have catered to "casual" gamers for the last 10 years, and that includes every COD ever released. Halo CE was the last good game that had a skill curve that was respectable, and before that, counter strike was the last good FPS game. I just got BF4, so I'm hoping that it's worth a shit, but based on the reported issues and glitches, I don't have much faith.

Halo 2, 3, 4, Reach, COD MW, MW2, BO1, BO2, ghost.....you can drop 20+ kills after playing the game for a week with a respectible K/D ratio. All those game suck. Take someone that's never played H1, and I doubt that even after playing it for 6 months that they will get more than 5 kills against a seasoned team. That game actually made me want to keep playing it to get better.

Finally had a legit game of Dom on Whiteout (that's the snow map right?) went off for 44 kills to 13 deaths with 14 captures. Right now I'm running:

Marathon/ Off the Grid/ Deadeye
Specialist Strike Package
3: Ping
6: Focus
9: Scavenger
Bonus at 11 kills: Sleight of Hand, QuickDraw, Incog

The FAD performs like a range adjusted version of the PDW from BO2.
