Hes the most overrated guy ever just because hes 7'1 and can jump means nuts!

I sick and tired of hearing "potential" thing because he's not even showing any glimpse of offensive brillance or anything. His man to man defense sucks too, his just good at help D, he's tall so he has some value in weak side blocks and some offense (If hes directly under the post, second chance points, easy layins that kind of stuff)

I mean look at game 4 versus Grizzlies. He's stats were 2 points 2 rebounds! When you're 7'1 and athletic you should be getting more than that. And hes consistently in foul trouble.

Give me Ibaka/Nene/Faried over him any day of the week.

The DeAndre situation is a mess.

He is clearly pissed about his playing time, non-factor role in the 4th qtr and has been displaying it towards Del Negro.

He is very overpaid, its pretty obvious Clippers gave him that money to keep Blake Griffin happy.

He shows potential but unfortunately its only against weak teams when he dominates for a few minutes.

I don't post here often anymore but have said this about Jordan a long time here. His defense is absolutely terrible and his game IQ is just as bad. It drives me nuts when announcers on nationally televised games call him a defensive specialist. His defense is atrocious, he doesn't box out ever.

I would just cause of the man to man D Perkins is at least stronger in the paint and smarter on D. Clippers would be in a better position in the series vs Grizzlies with Perkins on Z-Bo/Gasol than DJ, Clippers are missing one Reggie Evans.

I think it might be a bit of a stretch to say DJ has NO potential. IMO I think he may actually have a lot of potential. His flaws are obvious; no post moves at all, gets in foul trouble, subpar man defense, and low IQ, but I definitely don't think these are flaws that can't be worked on or that he is near his peak yet. Basketball IQ is definitely something that can be taught and worked on if a player is willing to focus on it. And DJ definitely has the body to be much more effective in those weak areas if he puts in the work. He's a good rebounder and great in the fast break for a big man. He's good with weak side and help defense and clean ups around the basket. As he matures I think he'll definitely be able to stay out of foul trouble as often. FT's are probably his biggest challenge of all.

I feel like if DJ is about to develop like a baby hook shot and maybe a little turn around 6 footer that could make him infinitely more valuable, and plus he'll always be perfect for alley oops and putbacks around the rim. He definitely has the body and athleticism to develop a few moves. And he definitely has a lot of defensive potential to be atleast as effective as Ibaka. That comes with the IQ which is certainly a department in which he has a long way to go, but it's not like asking him to develop a 3pt shot or anything. It is certainly a correctable problem. He'll never be Marc Gasol but there is definitely room for improvement
