partly an excuse to post this song which has an association that reaches a really warm fuzzy place deep down in the cockles of my heart..... maybe even in the subcockle area

If anyone saw Up, they saw the 4-5 minute montage that played out Carl and Ellie's married life for the viewer.
The music that scored that sequence is some of best movie music I've ever heard. Thousands of movies I've watched and that 5 minute sequence was just...wow...and the music had a lot to do with that.

totally, great call. i remember getting soooo invested watching that in theaters... and like everybody else i was just setting myself up for disappointment with the rest of the movie. not that the last 80 minutes were bad, but they certainly couldn't compare to the first 10.
right here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHMD_EqM61I)
not sure what that song is, it sounds familiar but it might be an original composition that took minor elements from other popular songs. its definitely got the same vibe as la vie en rose according to my unrefined palate.

God that's way too hard. I'll just post some of my favorites
Little Mermaid - Kiss the Girl, Part of Your World
Lion King - Circle of Life
Tarzan - Strangers Like Me
Oliver and Company - Once Upon a Time in New York City
Hercules - I Won't Say I'm In Love
Jungle Book - I Wanna Be Like You
Mulan - Make a Man Out of You
Goofy Movie - Stand Out
Honestly though pretty much any movie between 85 and 99 had an amazing soundtrack

Practically every single one is quality.
All time favorite though is Dumbo - When I see an Elephant Fly and Jungle Books - I wanna talk like you. They're so jovial, so upbeat, so lighthearted.
It's not Disney but Anastasia had Rasputins - IN the dark of the night is legit too. That's an adrenaline rush right there.
Mulan's one is awesome because they're running up mountains with their rations across their back and then Mulan grits her teeth, packs that weighted dip belt 2 big bronze plates, and shimmies her way up that pole with PURE DETERMINATION. Back in elementary school, middle school, high school, hell college, if u even uttered the sentence "Be a man" people would FOLLOW up doesn't matter who the fukk they are that songs influence was UNREAL.
Scar's Be Prepared is awesome because it's clever Machiavellian revenge I'm gonna take over the world diaboloically awesome. Lyrics are clever too.
Why the fukk has Toy Story's You've got a Friend in me not been mentioned yet? WHAT!?
Prince Ali's Reprise from Aladdins sick too

Go slipping through the cracks
But these two

Are picking up the slack
There's no case too big

A Whole New World - Aladdin
Circle of Life - Lion King
Let It Go - Frozen
Part of Your World - Little Mermaid
You've Got a Friend in Me - Toy Story
Most memorable to me; and of course I love some of the Beauty and the Beast and Pocahontas songs.

GOLD JERRY. This is GOLD.
This bleeding heart unthinking clown, real girls wear green, and other beta losers like Ridonks list not one but MANY songs.
HAHHHAHAHAHHAHAHA. Thirty years old, plant school grew up with two dads and LIKES songs geared for 4 year old girls.
YOU. ARE. DEUCEWALLACES.
You're a lost cause. You better THANK DA LORD that I've taken some time off my busy schedule to even grace this board with machismo.

Yeah boy you better soak in all the attention while the plate is hot. Spaghetti monster knows you've been deprived of that and many many other things.
