This series goes to game 7, Celtics are winning. And even if the Knicks do advance, Indy is knocking them out. The cockiness of this team is going to be their downfall.

You know, I used to hate JR with a passion, but I started liking him this year with his sixth man of the year season.

But this is starting to make me remember why I despised him. Such a shitty arrogant attitude. Actually win a series before you even begin thinking about doing shit like this.

If he was hungover, late, tired from partying thats one thing. But if none of these signs were present on game day then really its not big deal. And I'm not a big Jr Smith fan. Assclown to me but what is he supposed to be in bed by 11? :confusedshrug:

No excuses in the playoffs. Especially considering we could have shut this series out.

Permanent avatar bet? You got the Celtics I got the Knicks

But yeah this is dumb as hell by JR. Just goes to show that even with all the vets on this team the Knicks are still nowhere near mature enough to win anything significant. Fvckin hate when guys act like all won the chip already when they haven't done shit :facepalm

Read Shaq's autobiography. He said that if you party every night in the regular season, don't suddenly start going to bed at 9 because you will not be the same on the court. Yes partying isn't ideal but I'm not ready to blame the performance on it.

:lol at these people saying " as long as he's not hungover......lots of people drink on workdays"

:facepalm

- How many people compete in a Pro Basketball game for work???

- Drinking the day before an extreme athletic event is not a good idea...It will effect you no matter what.

- reflex's , ability to fight off fatigue will be compromised......kind of important in a Pro BBAll game.

Shaq could be drunk during the game and still outperform JR smith during the playoffs

even in amateur sports teams have rules about not drinking the night before a game...and they have curfews

It affects your body for sure. I've partied the night before and played a league game the next day and my body felt like crap. On the other hand he could be doing this the night before every game and his body could be use to it. So only J.R really know. I just chalk up their bad shooting and play due to karma from being so arrogant and talking trash before hand.

I feel so bad for the Knicks' fans.

Every time you think they have a legit roster that can compete for a title, it turns out several of the players are boneheads. This isn't the type of franchise in the type of market that you'd expect to see fail year after year.

if he's getting wasted every day before games then he would one of the best players in the league if he didn't. Being hungover seriously affects performance no matter how much you're used to it (unless the way it affects me is radically different to everyone else...)

no-one I've ever met has ever been able to play sport well when hungover...if he's only having a couple of beers then it wouldn't throw him off a lot (24 hours is a long time to recover)

Well if he hydrates a lot after he comes back from partying the after effects shouldn't be that bad.

Sleep and lots of water but I feel you. I know I can't. Hell I feel like crap after a hangover and can barely do anything let alone play bball.

I'm really dissappointed in JR here. After everything this season, Woody helping him grow up, dress like a man, not partying as much, really sucks that he's done this.

Whether if was the cause of his shitty game, who knows. He better play his f*cking ass off next game.

Kiddlovesnets
05-02-2013, 09:13 PM
Players like JR are double-edged blades, if you enjoy the scoring and explosiveness he brings, you will just have to endure his low b-ball IQ and other mental problems. After all, you sign a player for a few millions, cant expect him to act like Lebron.

Mental problems? I don't see any real mental problems from partying. I just see a mistake in doing this before a playoff game as unprofessional. No wonder he did so horrible perhaps.
