View Full Version : Stephen Curry or James Harden?

It's clearly Curry for me. In these playoffs James Harden is being exposed (apart from his last game) whereas Stephen Curry is being revealed. Curry has a full offensive arsenal and is legitimately scary even if he's 40ft away. Harden is just flopping, boneless jelly with a very streaky jumpshot and a disgusting beard.

Curry every day of the week.

As a Rockets fan, I'm going to have to take Curry at this point. Curry is the better shooter and passer, which means almost everything in this comparison because both players rely heavily on their jump shot. Harden is good, but Steph Curry is just flat out smooth, best shooter I have seen at the PG since prime Steve Nash. I feel like Harden does the same moves and is too dependent on his left hand when driving to the rack. I'm not saying I'm not a fan of his but Curry is just the better player to me.

In all seriousness I think James Harden has some great potential, maybe the ability to become the best SG in the league but he needs to add more moves to his arsenal and become more consistent with his jump shot.

All kinds of potential when it comes to Harden, but like you said he does need to add more moves and quit settling for step back 3s. I have watched every single Rockets game except maybe 5 of them so I have seen every trick in the book from Harden

I'll go with the younger player.

He doesnt look like it but Harden is the younger player.

That said, I would take Curry. Just too good of a shooter. Previously before the playoffs, I would have picked Harden. But like another poster said, he's exposed.

Curry, Harden is streaky, Curry can destroy your team anytime he wants with his J.

Imagine if both Golden State and Houston made it the WCF, and they can battle off.
Long shot, I know.

Exposed? His numbers went down once he got injured a couple months back. He has not been as quick with his euro-step and attacking the basket.

You guys can't be serious, this reminds me of those people who said they'd take Lin over Curry in the linsanity area. Btw, haven't we seen this thread before with most people choosing Harden? Anyway as much as a Curry fan, I'd choose Harden - better playmaker and slasher. I'd take both in my team tho.

That would be a deadly combo. Two different playing styles that can wear you down and demoralize you.

Harden for me, I suspect Curry will have a career ending injury in the next few years. Guys got powder bones from the knees down.

He sure thing plays fine basketball for someone who's exposed, in the playoffs over 4 games including a game where he was sick he has averaged;

26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals on 41% shooting.

And yeah, his horrible game 3 ruined his stats alot and boosted his turnover average which is now up to 4.6. He's been slowed down by minor injuries the last months as well.

This is Harden's first year as the first option and the guy is 23 years old, you obviously don't know what the word "exposed" means.

I would take Harden in all honesty, I can't see that Curry would take the Rockets this far if he switched team with Harden.

Curry is a very fine player but he's injury prone, he's 1 year older and he's playing with the better team. Imagine Harden playing with Thompson, Lee, Bogut, Barnes, Jack and Landry.

We're seeing the peak of curry, but harden isn't close to his peak yet.

So as of right now, it's curry.

Curry is becoming my favorit player. His shoot is incredible, creating a contrast effect that degrades his tremendous ball handling skills, vison and that wonderful way he plays that you cant explain, only experience with your own eyes.
With that said, I have to pick Harden. Less fragile, a player I trust more, and has been playing great for more then 6 games.

Curry, because no matter what, with that shot, your a factor. Defences have to respect you, it opens up the lane etc...

Id take Harden. Curry is too short for a SG, while as a PG hes just a mediocre playmaker/passer at best.

Give me Harden. He is less of a whiney B!tch and he dominates more consistantly.

He has more weapons in his arsonal than he great 3 point shot. His problem is that the Defense is really clamping down on him. OKC knows his style of play all too well. They are the best team for defending him.

Harden. Just like in the stock market, buy valuable assets when they are cheap. When Harden starts beasting again, you guys are gonna say Harden of course but then he'll be too expensive for ur punk asses.

That's a tough one... Curry has G.O.A.T. shooting potential, we're talking Seung-Hui Cho level skill. He's also extremely quick and crafty with the dribble. Harden isn't in the same league as a shooter nor quickness but his herky-jerky style works well and he's a free throw drawing machine. If we were to take injuries out of the equation (Curry's ankles), I would go with Curry.

Curry has probably become my favourite player in the NBA but honestly, I think Harden is the better player by a tiny bit and will be in the future.

Harden and its not even close.curry gets way overrated lately cause of his shooting

Curry has just been phenomenal this season. I always underrated him...I thought he was made of glass and completely one dimensional. But he's proven otherwise. While he is still a bit injury prone, he is a great impact player and his shooting ability is other-worldly. Should have undoubtedly been an all-star this season, he's been showing that the whole season and especially this post-season. The kid is just nice. Nearly everytime he shoots the ball, I think it's going in.

Harden is another great player but as the playoffs rolled in...Curry would have to be my choice. Both players have a shit-load of potential. Harden will be the best SG in the league soon and Curry will continue to develop as an overall player. Top 5 PG by next season. I'm booking it.

But its a very close comparison. Anyone who tries to act like it's not is an idiot.
