I love how "heat fans" keep telling us hes a clutch god now...
Making those clutch layups with 7 minutes to play in the 4th after being MIA all game... Then when the games on the line he is nowhere to be seen, until he puts up a beautiful AIRBALL:roll:

This is what I hate about kobe fans. Instead of bashing the poor guy you need to at least give him props for having the balls to take the shot. It not easy to take a game deciding shot when you are shook to the core

The reputation is well deserved at least based on the 2012 playoffs. Kobe has a reputation for being clutch because for every 100 attempts he jacks up in game-winning situations, he makes like 12 of them. Therefore the 12% of the time he succeeds in clutch situations is magnified by the media and overshadows the rest of his crunch time bricks/airballs.

Lebron's not a choker, but he doesn't have the skillset to be a "clutch god." Durant does, Lebron doesn't. In the first three quarters, Lebron usually scores when he's open, when he's hot, or when there's a hole in the defense. For the most part, that's the only time you want to be scoring. But sometimes, you have to force it anyway. In those moments I don't fear Lebron as much as I fear Paul, Durant, Pierce, Kobe. Lebron's shot simply isn't good or dependable enough. Because he's so damn good and so conscientious about making the right play, it doesn't show up in percentages, but in the last 3 minutes of close games, there's a clear difference in approach between Lebron and Durant. Lebron's a lot more handicapped.

win or lose, Lebron's stat line is always the same. I just for a few games, especially in playoffs, where Lebron can just say, f*** assist, f*** passing when teammates aint hitting shots, I'm gonna go out and just bombs away because i'm a 4-time MVP and it's time to just put on a show and carry them.

I want Lebron to go for 45+ pts where he just dominates offensively the whole game. Not just in a 3-4 minutes stretch, but the whole game. I want him to tell Wade, "take a back seat son, and just enjoy the show"

But no, it's always the 26-27pts, 8-9 reb, 8-9 assist. I mean, it is a GREAT stat line for just about any other players in the league, but not Lebron. It's average for Lebron. I would like him to be better than average.

There's a certain kind of moment in a game that players like Karl Malone, Chris Webber, Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, the Denver Nuggets as a unit, the Memphis Grizzlies as a unit, etc. dread.

And for (often way inferior) players and teams like Sam Cassell, the Spurs, Chris Paul, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Durant and Westbrook both, Steve Nash, Dirk, et al., their eyes light up.

The difference between these two groups is the second group is guys who know what they're about. They know how they execute. When there's no room for creativity and free-flowing play, when you have option A and option B to work with and no time for anything else, they know what that means and what to do. And they go out and do it without having to think.

But guys like Lebron, Carmelo, the Nuggets? Any given night, there's no telling where the offense is going to come from, how they're going to score. I don't think I've seen Melo score from the same place twice in his whole career, or in the same way. And when it's crunchtime, all of a sudden there's nothing to do but pull up with a guy draped all over him (sometimes it goes in). Lebron? Same story - 27 points always, in transition, open shot, gets hot in the 3rd and scores ten straight, here a putback, there a lob, there he sees a hole in the defense and attacks it. 55% shooting. But now it's crunchtime and he's not on fire. All he can do is drive until there is a man open he can pass to. And indeed that's all he does. What is Lebron's go-to move? He doesn't have one. Who is the Nuggets' number one option? They don't have one. Their go-to play? They don't have one. And you can see it in their eyes when crunch time comes. They don't know what they're about.

That's what separates champs from could've-beens. Some of these could've-beens have/will win titles, but the odds are against them.

Oh, and "analytics"? Won't do you any good in the last 2 minutes of a close game. No good whatsoever. That's when you turn your Larry Bird on and put the calculator away. You gotta know what you're about.

Did you just group Carmelo Anthony (widely regarded as one of the most clutch players in the league) and Lebron James together in terms of ability to hit clutch shots? So you're saying Melo doesn't have a go to move or is afraid/can't hit big shots in end of game situations? Are you high? :biggums:

If Lebron made that shot, it wouldn't have made a difference for the people in this thread. It simply would have been, on to the next one, and hoping for a Lebron screw up down the line so they can over-analyze it, and try to magnify something that clearly isn't the case.

Where was this thread when James made the game winner against the Rockets? Or the layup against Orlando? Or the jumpshot that won the game against Boston?

Oh wait, there actually was a thread on it. Disregarding that James won the game, and somehow still managing to critic his game winner against Orlando. LOL.

Foul, foul, foul, foul... up the Bulls end.

Quiet up our end.

Noah is apparently allowed to swing his elbows into our players.

How do the Bulls get home cooking calls on our court?

Bron fouled, nothing called.

Bulls getting bullshit calls up the other end.

Should be a flagrant. No attempt on the ball.

Apparently pulling down someone with two hands isn't a flagrant?

We should foul them like that every time they go for a layup then.

Pull him down with two hands next time Cole, its not a flagrant.

Another joke call for the Bulls.

Put em on the line. Anything to keep it close.

F*ck off refs

Is it me, or am I the only one who saw that hit on Bosh's arm?

But yeah, we get all the calls.

Bosh fouled by Noah, and no call again.

Wait a minute....... so after hitting very many clutch shots this year he all of the sudden isnt clutch because he missed a shot in the clutch this game (the 15 pts he had in the 4th dont matter)?

Kobetard logic... but the logic still doesnt make sense, because Kobe is for his career has shot much worse in the playoffs & regular season in the clutch.......... for example, Kobe is 7 of 29 in terms of gamewinners in the playoffs....... Lebron is 6 of 14.........

it is what typical NBA fans want. if you score 15 pts in 4th, it is not clutch but if you shoot the game winning basket after taking and missing a lot of bad shots like ginobli, everyone calls you clutch.

That game was 100% out of character for him. The only logical explanation is that he made a pact with the devil and sacrificed Wade's career to fulfill his end of the deal (as can be evidenced by LeBron's demon look in that game and Wade's rapid decline).

That game was 100% out of character for him.

Id say the idea hes clutch came more from the fact that he:

made 2 game winners his first playoff series, has made walkoff shots/game winners vs the Magic, Blazers, Hornets, Spurs, Warriors, Pistons,Bobcats, and others, made too many big late 3s to list(I can think of 3 just vs the Bulls), scored 30 in a row to win an elimination game, has had some of the most absurd playoff games in modern history vs the Magic and Celtics, and has been a key player on two gold medal teams, while winning an NBA title putting up 30/10/6 in the playoffs with games of 40/18/9 and 45/15/5 before going to and closing out the finals with back to back triple doubles to win finals mvp with Bosh missing half the playoffs and Wade having his worst playoffs since he was Lamar Odoms sidekick being mentored by Eddie Jones.

Dude a page or two back is right. May bitch about refs too much but fact is....Lebron could walk on water and some would pretend it isnt amazing because Jesus could do it barefoot.

He had more big clutch performances...before he won it all...than many people in the HOF had their entire careers.

People will gif individual shots as if the same couldnt be done for everyone from West to Jordan and Kobe.

The chances Lebron isnt remembered as a bigtime playoff performer by history are slim to none.

He would have to lose like 4 more times in the finals without winning again. And even then...hed be as much of a winner as the likes of Jerry West who is always gonna be considered an elite clutch player.

Most of this is just bored haters on the internet.

LOL.

Make or miss, doesn't matter. Most of you posters are bitchmade, and sitting around waiting for mistakes. lol.

LOL, this dude is so furious. He's beyond mad.

:lol

I bet my all time favourite little man Allen Iverson would even think you're a retard and would be embarassed to have you as a fan. AI is a real G, but check out his twitter https://twitter.com/alleniverson

You don't see him typing like a retarded child. He's a grown man and his grammar and spelling are excellent. Maybe one day you, willds09, will grow up and become a man as well.

Iverson twitter made me wonder what Starbury have been up to, is he still eating vaseline? And fleeing from traffic accident saying it's the devil?
